Well, I have always wanted to try this hotel as it was at an intersection with accessible food and shopping.
We walked in and paid $185.60 ringgit on a standard room on Boxing day as confronted with returning back to Singapre proves to be a fright with the traffic hold up towards the immgration.
Not asked if we wanted non or smoking rooms; I would have chosen the former, we stayed on room 1018 which was a fairly spacious room. The corriders were clean but the rooms were rather run down with the toilet I would have wished to be cleaner. The TV unit provided is smallish and the fridge was not equiped at all.
We visited the pool and noticed a heavy dampness in the air suggestive of possible mould lurking. Conditions of the hotel amenities were heavily used and could have been better maintained. Gym or Health Centre as they would have called it is not complimentary. Front desk was not able to answer on the associated charges for entry to the health centre and spa and suggests guests to enquire themselves....hmmm...
Wifi access is complimentary and individual user id and passwords must be obtained at the front desk in person. Each room is only allowed 2 individual id accesses and if you have more then 2 devices, I found that logging out and accessing from the next device is not fluent. Not exactly easy but connection speed is maintained this way.
Breakfast was sufficent with bland choices.
Food and shopping are within easy reach just across the road from the hotel and towards Taman Sentosa, Sentosa Plaza or just the back of the hotel with Holiday Plaza and KSL shopping mall all within walking distance.
For the same price paid, there are hotels in the nearer KSL and Sentosa Plaza hotel offering
newer alternatives and one perhaps to try is the Grand Sentosa Hotel and KSL Resort (currently in development).
