They have moved the chalets to a place called Kg Air Papan. This is my first time sending comments to a blog. I felt so happy that I want to share my experience with everybody. A place that you'll hardly find in Peninsular Malaysia due to development. It's a hidden gem.I've been to more than 10 countries and I think this is one of the best place for nature lovers. If you are a nature lover this will be the place that you will really enjoy. Definitely this place does not offer you any bath tub, swimming pool or spa or any of those type.My first time experience being here is more like a theraphy to my eyes and brain as my work demands me to deal with people and computer. Hills on my left and a small river behind me. As two of my young children do not enjoy nature they find the frogs near the room as nuisance. They jumped when they saw the frogs. Of course when we talk about paddy field you'll definitely find frogs since the chalets are in the middle of the paddy field. If you dont enjoy nature forget about this place. The place offers you a spectacular view of paddy field with various species of birds surrounding the chalets. The birds are the paddy field natural inhabitants . You can find a coconut tree with more than ten bird nests. I just need to open my window and I could see birds flying through my balcony. You do not need any airconditioner as it is windy. I sat near the river with my two legs playing with the crystal clear water. It's so refreshing to see small fish running around. The river is full with white water lilies. It's so beautiful. I strolled near the paddy field and plucked wild flowers. My husband also enjoyed himself there as we ate our meals in a small hut in front of our chalet savouring the view, listening to birds chirping and saw them flying in groups. Thank you for the beautiful experience. I'm able to get both: a good hari raya and a romantic vacation.

The only reason I stayed at this hotel was that it was recommended by the Rough Guides. My expectaion was to get very basic but clean budget accommodation with air con for one night for which I would pay RM80. What I got was very basic, budget accommodation with air-con not working, cobwebs, insect and frogs in the room with bathroom that did not flush, sink that did not drain, smelly, dirty rooms and mattress that gave me backpain. The property has potential because of it's garden sorrounded setting with a touch of Balinese ambience and location by the sea. The management seems indifferent about the upkeep of this place. Staff are friendly but clueless. This place needs a complete facelift and until then Rough Guides should take the property out of it's recommended list.
