As a kind warning to anyone who intend to make reservation to this resort please reconsider.
I’m from HK and my friend who is a singaporean booked for a 3D2N trip at the resort through ShengyXn Travel. We reached Tg Leman jetty at 10 plus am with a mini-bus arranged by ShXngyan Travel. Whilst other people from the same bus boarded a ferry to another resort, my friend and I were simply told to wait for another ferry. We kept on waiting but nobody fetched us and told us what was happening.
We waited till 11 plus am and called the Singapore sub-agent, SXny Travel, who was responsible for hotel booking. The person in charge, Micheal told us to wait for the ferry, which he said would usually leave the resort at 11 am and reach the jetty at 12 plus.
At 12.30pm, when we asked around we were told to answer a call by a guy who appeared to be delivering stuff to the resort. The person on the phone was Ms Santhi, the manager of Sari Pacifica who told us that the generator was spoiled and she could not have us at the resort. She offered us either a full refund or being transferred to their sister company, Aseana resort which according to her is a 2 star resort with chalet houses. She insisted she could not guarantee us any refund of price difference. However, if we chose the refund then we have to cancel the trip which was very disappointed as my friend and I purposely applied leave for this trip. Also, we would have to arrange vehicle back to SG by ourselves which would take another 4 hours.
We were very upset though we called and spoke nicely to the SaXy Travel guy who said he would speak to the manager. He said he would see if he could get us a room at Sibu island resort. We told him clearly that we do not want to go to Aseana resort.
When he called us back, he said he would send us to PularBesar and that Ms Santhi would arrange. He said that the booking was full at Sibu island resort. I asked him if it is PulauBesar resort and he said yes. So we took an one hour ride to Mersing , only to discover to our horror that we were being sent to Aseana resort at PulauBesar, Mersing, the one we clearly told that we did not want. We were very angry and disappointed and called Micheal. He had the cheek to tell us to enjoy first and just follow Ms Santhi’s arrangement. We were quite fed up and demanded that he send us to Sibu Island Resort.
Upon our strong attitude and pressure to complain, he then booked a room for us at Sibu Island Resort (which he said full booking when we spoke to him nicely) and asked a Malaysian Travel agency to send us back to Tg Leman jetty. We wasted another hour travelling and by the time we reached Sibu Island Resort, it was already evening time.
During the trip, we were told by others that Sari Pacifica is disorganised and had ferry problems too. I would strongly advise anyone to rethink carefully before making any reservation to this resort!
