Probably NOT...................!.............................................................! are we thehe yet?!.................................................
Value for money. If you are happy with the tune hotels concept, you cant go wrong. Clean rooms, comfy bed, strong shower. Anything extra, you pay. why stay elsewhere, when you are out practically whole day. Not a place if you plan to stay put in a hotel.
It is a clean small room with a comfortable bed to sleep on. There is no TV or radio so it is just for sleeping, bathing or looking and admiring yourself in the mirror which is available in the room. There is a rain shower but not a power shower as claimed to be and a sitting toilet bowl and a small sink which is practical and sufficient to stay on for a short stay.
Overall, it looks bright and clean although it may be very small for some people who are used to bigger rooms. The air condition works better with the fan on to cool down the room faster if you are checking in during a hot afternoon.
Where do I even start?
I previously stayed here 3 months ago and recently returned to the most disgusting room of my life!
I asked upon check-in for the room I previously stayed in, but it was taken so I asked for a similar room. I was told it needed to be cleaned and had to wait. While walking down the hall to my room I witnessed the contracted cleaning person blowing his nose into the clean bathmat of a room he was servicing. This made me sick and very wary of the person cleaning my room. I knew from my previous Tune Hotel stays I would be doing some cleaning myself and I was not mistaken.
The amount of dust on top of the fan, ledges and underneath the bed was disgusting and similar to previous reviews. The bedside tables were in utter shambles. The floor mat was disintegrating.
The bathroom had black mould in the shower. I spent hours cleaning this room spotless as I was staying for 10 days and like a CLEAN environment.
The worst part of it all was when I took off my pillowcases, bedsheet and blanket cover to discover every kind of bodily fluid stain on the mattress cover, pillows and blanket. I was really disgusted as these have never been washed by the useless housekeeper. Really what kind of disgusting pigs even stay here to make these items that bad to begin with?
Never the less I had laundry soap and washed these myself with hordes of water and soap to make them nice and clean for my stay. I really recommend you take off these "covers" and see what you are really sleeping on.
I never bothered to inform the front desk until I checked out, because I did not want the disgusting housekeeper to do anything disturbing to my belongings or room. In-fact I pretty much kept the do not disturb sign on my door to keep the horrible UNSUPERVISED housekeeper out of my room.
Seriously, of the 3 Tune hotels I have stayed at, this is the only one that allows the contracted housekeeper free, unsupervised access to rooms without checking their work.
I should have really taken pictures of all this stuff and posted them online, but I saved you from the horrors that I saw.
Really this Tune Hotel has gone downhill.. I would never stay here again or recommended to anyone unless you pay less than $30 ringgit a night like I did, have a 10 day stay and like to clean for a few hours.
I imagine if you get a clean room here it was, because someone like myself cleaned it for you and didn't soil everything with their bodily fluids.
As usual, Tune has its share of pros and cons. Considering the price I paid, there's nothing to complain about really. I can't compliment Tony Fernandez enough (at least up till now anyway) for making travel so affordable (with a caveat, of course).
Tune's 5 pillars were delivered as expected; 5-star beds, power showers, central & convenient locations, clean environment, 24-hour security. Room was airy enough that I didn't even subscribe to the air-cond this time around. My 6 month old ended up between us on the double bed and made no "complaint".
Downsides were inadequate parking facility (overnight rate at New World Park came up to RM20), no free Wi-Fi and lack of sitting area in the room.
As long as you're not the fussy type, Tune Hotel is a great choice. It will always be top of my accommodation list wherever it is present, provided it can maintain it's standards and pricing.
