We stayed in Naza talyya on 5-6 Jan, We booked it through trip advisor and reached hotel at 12.00 in afternoon, they said they don't have availability and asked us to come back at 2.00, even though i already paid for for the hotel so we had to stay in the lobby area. We went back at 2.00 and still they didn't have the availability. The staff was so unfriendly and didn't bother about our uncomfortable. Finally we got the room at 5.00 in evening and our day was spoiled. We got the room at 5th floor,the room were very old and stinky . The flush of washroom wasn't working and washroom was fill with water. The Air con wasn't working,when we called at reception they send their maintenance guy to fix the AC, the guy fixed it with a iron stick as temporary basis, and we noticed that it turned off after every 10 min,every time we had to call at reception to fix the AC but they denied to change the room and denied to return our money. They were harash also over the phone when we were asking them to fix the Aircon and very much unfriendly with us,and was not responding to us in any case. We had to stay three days over there and we spend over night in the balcony only without AC and stinking washroom and room. Next day ,we ordered Pizza in the afternoon and the Pizza crust/bread was stale for which i already paid and they simply denied to return the money even then they accepted about the stale food problem.
The swimming pool was dirty and there were no any fitness center or Internet connection in the area ( which they have mentioned in the website ). We simply didn't want to spoil our holiday so next day evening we changed our hotel and end up spending a lot of money . The worst experience ever in my life time, as i am a frequent visitor who visit every month. The location is even not good, as this place neither lies in Batu feringgi nor Georgetown. Only price attract people to stay at this hotel, its better to stay at backpackers hostel as compare to Naza talyya

I just came back from my weekend trip to Penang. Stayed there for 1 night, luckily only 1 night. Those in reception table doesnt know how to put a smile and looks like they dont welcome guest to stay over. During booking, we booked for sea view, when we reach there, they say there's no sea view at their hotel, and only side view...wth. We took 3 rooms, side by side. Soon enter the room, there's funny smell in the one of the room like someone just fart in the room.The bed was lousy, leaving all of us with backache. The blanket was dirty as if they just recycle it from previous guest. The other room have problems with the lights and air cond. Overall, the room was lousy. The hotel was not well maintained, from the lobby, to coffee house, to the lift, to the swimming pool. Urghhh, such as waste.. Its a nice location, nice build up, but then without proper maintenance, no one will go there. Train the staff to be more professional and up to guest expectation. Doesnt matter if it is 2 star or 3 star or zero star, make the guest keep going there, that's important.

I Stay in this hotel for 2 nights with my parent during May 2011.

I like the beach view from the family suite. Location wise: you need to have a car as this hotel is not in Georgetown or batu Feringgi but nearby.

Initially we booked two rooms but heater of both rooms spoiled, We called and operator ask us to wait for 10 minutes. Nobody come after half an hour or more? We went to the frontdesk but they show us the face like: nothing much we can do.." ,the lady even asked us, how many day are you staying? (What??? If i am only staying for one day mean my old parent should shower with cold water at this hour???).
Ending: Someone look like manager upgrade us to family suite.

Swimming pool looks good but no guideline to be follow, everybody jump in the pool with their long pant, t-shirt, tudung and even slipper........

Order a chicken rice from the hotel restaurant, waiting time= 45minutes.... kitchen crew playing happily in the kitchen with the kitchen door open....

Value for money, great location, clean & comfortable room. Only thing is the phone courtesy when asking your check out time. Wish they were more friendly rather that making you feel like being forced to check out at 12noon
