Great service, big smiles, not much to complain about.
Extra service extended: someone from the hotel offered dropped us off at the bus terminal!
Which was quite a few blocks away.
Else we would have taken a taxi, worse or walked. So nice of him!

This is a no frills hotel that meets all your needs. It doesnt look like much from the street but I'd highly recommend this place, especially if you arent spending much time in KK. Rooms are a bit small, but A/C is powerful, showers are hot (although water pressure is weak), and the beds are comfy. The hotel is next door to an excellent supermarket (perfect for stocking up in preparation for Mt Kinabalu climb). The staff are efficient and accomodating. They stored our bags while we climbed Kinabalu and had them in our rooms, ready for us, when we returned the next night. As soon as we checked in, they asked about our departure time and arranged a taxi to pick us up for our early morning flight. No breakfast provided but they have a common kitchen and large fridge and you can purchase breakfast items at the store next door. They also have a laundry service. Within walking distance to night market and many restaurants. Great bang for your buck!
I stayed there for 1 night. Never been here before & just want to give it a try since its rated no. 1 in tripadvisor. Honestly the hotel deserve the title. Cannot compared it to 5 star hotel but looking at the $$ spend its value for money.
The hotel are actually a shop lot but i'm impress on how they turn it into. Its really an art & boutique hotel. Simple & nice hotel.
The room was simple but very comfortable eventhough it does not have a window. It offers flat screen TV & a cosy bed. The booking was very simple.
I give the rate 4/5 refers to how much i paid to get a good room & experience.
Pros :
Value for money. About RM 180 only
Near Jesselton Port & shopping mall.
Great for young couple, backpakers & singles. (not newly married couple due to the room not that sound proof).
Cons:
Quite far from night market.
Not recommended for family & old folks.
Not recommended for travellers with big bags (small room)
Tips:
Book bigger or suite if you have xtra money..
A comfortable bed, pillows and a huge bathroom. Very helpful management and close to town. Happy customers
We were just looking for a simple and good value base in KK and chose Hotel Eden54 based on the tripadvisor recommendations. Our travel plans kept changing and Rosanne was flexible and patient with the arrangements. We stayed on two different dates and they were happy to store our bags when we were on an overnight trip in between. One room was a compact with no windows and the other compact with windows. There really wasn't much difference and for a single night it was fine without windows. Both were compact as described but comfortable with good bathrooms and contemporary design.
The hotel does not offer breakfast, but there are options in the surrounding areas including great smoothies from the fruit store just next door. The location is pretty convenient in easy walking distance to the bus station, waterfront and jetty.
