“Comfortable and near to gaya market.....”

At first my family quite worried about the hotel, since it is still new and the reviews here are not as much as the other hotel but since I much believe on the information in the tripadvisor, I gave a try and the condition of the hotel was exactly as what other people say. we arrived late at that night, and my concerned was the renovations that read from the review here and we're so lucky because the renovation has completed on the 15th february 2012, which is 2 days after we were there. Anyway, don't hesitate to try the hotel, the location is strategic, the hotel is comfortable and the service is good. It just that, the hotel do not have any swimming pool ( which we not really need it) and the parking space is limited. Overall, we're so satisfied and will stayed there next time.

“Very modern and nice rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 February 2012

We had a superior room which was huge and beautifully decorated. The bathroom is great with a huge shower. Location is very convenient and staff was friendly and helpful. Only downside is that they don't serve breakfast, but then there is a bakery and local breakfast places just opposite the hotel. Would definitely stay there again.

“Great little hotel - excellent service and rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

We arrived here at midnight after a late flight. When we went to check in, we found out that we had booked for the wrong night, but much to the hotel's credit, they went ahead and changed our booked date so that we could book in (and with no charge!)

On top of this, they didn't have our room type available, so even though it was our fault, they bumped us up to an amazing suite! It was one of the largest rooms we've ever stayed in (about the size of a Shangri-La Premier Suite at the nearby Rasa Ria resort, without the balcony). The hotel is very new, and the room and en-suite were amazingly clean and comfortable.

We had breakfast across the street - it's easy and cheap, and the overall location of the hotel is pretty good. We flew out the next morning, and found it to be a good distance from the airport for a quick layover (the going rate for taxis appears to be 30RM each way).

Overall, we'd highly recommend this hotel for its service, cleanliness and size. It's probably more suited to business or transiting customers, as there are more romantic hotels nearby (although it's hard to beat this one for value).

Room Tip: The suites are amazing. Not sure how much they cost, as we got upgraded for free!

“Central conveniences at your doorstep”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

I took a little risk with Hotel Sixty3, seeing that it only has 3 reviews (as of Jan 2012). I wasn't disappointed as it was conveniently located with sufficient amenities nearby.

Room: Opt for lower floors if you can. I was on top level (5th floor) but was disturbed in the morning by reno works on level 6. Once inside, it was spacious, with room to hold a queen bed, 2 single seaters, a coffee table and the whole works. Not much view as it is not located next to the sea but I was happy nonetheless. Wifi is available and consistent.

One of the hotel's selling point is their high-tech TV. You can surf the Net, play games, watch TV, listen to the radio, watch movies on demand, set your alarm clock, play ambient music - all on the TV. Novelty I must say.

Food: Opposite the hotel is Fook Yuen and Old Town Coffee - local eateries that are worth a try. Fook Yuen has the softest white bread ever! A cup of coffee and 2 toast is only RM3.10. Not too bad really. The hotel is situated on Gaya Street, where it's lined with food and more food.

Location: It's near to Suria Sabah - the newest mall in town. Only 1/3 of the shops are open unless you want to catch a movie on the 8th floor. Wisma Merdeka, KK Plaza are also within walking distance. I did manicure for RM29 - a good bargain I thought. :) On Jalan Pantai is a massage place call 1-Healthy. I went for the one hour massage for RM47. Not too bad if you are not into pain.

Stone's throw away from the jetty to the nearby islands.

I'll come back again if I were to go for another solo trip to KK!

Room Tip: Opt for lower floors to avoid reno works.

“Great hotel”

This hotel was really good. The location is really good, directly opposite Sabah Tourism and the design in the hotel was really nice too. The king bed was super comfortable. The shower was amazingly good with fantastic water pressure. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the price was really good too. I stayed 2 separate nights, one in a suprerior room which was huge and one in a standard room which was also a good size.
