“Great location, great breakfast and very accomodating”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 February 2012

I stayed at Le Meridien for 5 nights and I felt that the staff were very accomodating. The breakfast buffet was very extensive and the location is directly across the road from the night markets. The pool are is quite small for a hotel so large but the gym has all the equipment that you need for that workout. Rooms are moderately sized and theres nothing really I can fault with this hotel. Would definately stay here again in my return to KK.

Thank you for telling us that you were particularly pleased with the service and the breakfast offering these are certainly key areas we like to focus on. The size of the pool....well I wouldn't be serious if I tell you that we are working on it :)
Looking forward to your next visit.

“Totally enjoyable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 February 2012 via mobile

Have just returned from KK and a fantastic ten days at Le Meridien. The hotel was out standing, location perfect, service fantastic. I would highly recommend this Hotel to any traveller. The Staff made our stay a totally enjoyable experience and I want to thank each and everyone of them. Contrary to the Australian Govt Smart Traveller Web Site warnings, my friend and I felt totally safe in Sabah and the local people could not have been more helpful or friendly.

Thank you for sharing how safe you felt during your travels to Sabah. While government have their responsibility in raising travel warnings it is important to bring things into perspective and reassure everyone on how beautiful this region and the people are.
I appreciate your acknowledgment of the service provided by all of our team members at the hotel.
Enjoy your travels
Alex

“Comfortable hotel with a lovely view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 February 2012

We stayed at the Le Meridien for 2 nights on our arrival in KK. Our room was not ready when we arrived so we were given some free drinks in the bar while the room was prepared. This did not take long, and it was refreshing to have a drink and a rest after a long flight. Our room was very large with a very comfortable bed and a huge picture window looking out over the South China sea. The night markets are across the road from the hotel, along with the fish market, fruit and vegetable market and the Filipino barbeque. Restaurants and shops are nearby. Some areas of the hotel are a little dated, but over all it has a very pleasant ambience. Breakfast was very good, and free wi-fi in the lobby was much appreciated.

Room Tip: The sea view room provided a great view of the night markets as well as the South China Sea

Thank you for sharing your comfortable experience and for your understanding when having to wait for a while before accessing your room. It is nice to know the team was proactive enough to make you feel relaxed during the process.
Sydney is only a couple of flights away we hope to have you back one day.

“Highly recommend it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 February 2012

We loved Le Meridien.
Paid extra for access to the Club lounge for afternoon tea / pre dinner drinks which was great and a bit of a novelty for the children (9 and 13). Accommodating two adjoining rooms proved difficult so we were upgraded which was a lovely suprise. Regardless, the rooms are great, really nicely appointed and roomy. Pool area really good as a reprieve from wandering outside. We stayed here prior to experience Kota prior to heading up the coast to Rasa Ria. Glad we did. It was great to overlook the market and experience this being constantly set up or taken down! The restaurants down along the little esplanade were great - this is only a 5 minute walk down the road.
My son left an ipod in the transfer car and the club staff were amazing in their efforts to retrieve it. Staff lovely and very helpful in all respects.

Room Tip: Access to Club lounge is worth paying a bit extra for.

Hello Jacinta I am pleased that you had a great time and delighted that the team did well in ensuring your son would be reunited with his precious Ipod. This is one of the areas where our team members are trained to go the extra mile and make it an absolute priority so that the good memories of a holiday are not marred by something important left behind.
We would love to have you back in the near future.
Best,
