The hotel was super fine, very cheap but it's not really central. If u do not have transport, ie. car, then it's a bit difficult to go anywhere. However, there's a free shuttle van to the waterfront. The hotel can also arrange the van for you to go to SVC and perhaps other places too. You can also walk to Waterfront. It's about 10m walk but considering the humidity, better use a transport. Free parking for hotel guests. The hotel is actually adjoining with Hock Lee shopping complex. Room was a bit small, may be because i purchased the cheapest room. But, all the necessities are in the room. Slippers, toothbrush, comb, hair dryer, u name it! This hotel is very generous with pillows. I liked that very much! Very clean and friendly staff. Facilities: Swimming pool (4th floor), gym, Wifi in the room. Bar is replenished everyday. U get 2 bottles of mineral water everyday. Breakfast (RM15) was ok. For security reason, your key card is needed when you want to activate the lift. One drawback, i guess is the wall. I think it's too thin as u can hear people talking or running outside. this hotel is beautifully furnished and super clean! The rooms and bathrooms are large and have all mod-cons. The staff are extremely friendly and most have very good English. The hotel is a 15 minute walk outside the city but if you prefere they provide shuttle bus to and from. They also have an airport shuttle bus which is very handy. If I had to fault it, it would be the room service which takes along time to arrive around 1hr for mee goreng, but that is clutching at straws!
This is the best place of stay among all the hotels that i've slept in. The room is spacious. The single bed can even fit 2 person as it is quite big and very comfortable. The rate is affordable. overall, i really enjoyed my stay there. The place is value for money.Ow,but you need to make early reservation as it it always fully booked.
What a find this turned out to be. We trusted trip advisor when we made the booking, and as per usual we were not disappointed.
The 360 hotel is situated in the Hok Yee area of Kuching, a mere 12 ringget taxi ride to the riverside complex. The hotel is spread over two towers - A and B, with the first four floors devoted to a shopping mall. The shops consist mainly of fashion shops, although there was a busy Chinese restaurant on the 2nd floor. There is a medium sized supermarket on the ground floor. A very nice gentleman who worked there told me they don’t see many westerners in Hok Yee. This offered us a far more authentic experience of Kuching than we would have had staying in the run of the mill hotel groups in the centre of town. There are several local restaurants close to the hotel.
We stayed in room 900 on the 9th floor. This was a two bedroomed apartment, complete with three bathrooms, a very sizable and comfortable lounge and a kitchen.
The apartment was generally well equipped and was clean. The floors were tiled throughout. The lounge was equipped with a large flat screen Tv and a CD player. There were views over the local area as well as river views from the panoramic bedroom. There was a swimming pool on the 10th floor as well as a business suite for internet use. We had the swimming pool to ourselves on a few occasions, and the business suite was closed without explanation on another occasion, but offered free internet when open.
Breakfast was also taken on the 10th floor and was included in the price. The breakfast offered a good range, although with limited western options.
The reception staff were always courteous and were helpful in organising local taxis.
The apartment offered excellent value for money, as well as feeling very homely. We would definitely try and rebook here next time we are passing this way.
