Our friend recommended this hotel and its a right choice.The hotel within walking distance to shopping center, seafood eatery center and Sarawak river front. The room view is great facing the Sarawak river. Room is spacious and comfortable. We stayed for 4 nights , The service staff is very efficient , our major requests are delivered with no further delays.
The only letdown is we are not good in using bathtub, would prefer to do it in a shower rooms,
otherwise this is a great hotel for our future visits.

1)Lobby guy, Ismawi ,he is not only courteous, attentive to little details but a very energetic person.
2)Salesperson Fiona Kho who took my reservation and handle with the hotel Security Manager, a minor incident in my room during my stay , efficiently.

In a nutshell, this Hilton is NOT up to standard compared to the other Hilton Hotels. I dont understand why Hilton sends so many poor performing foreign staffs to Kuching when the service is only rated good and customers pay a bomb for food, rooms and function rooms. I do notice that white colored customers are treated better than Asians in this hotel. So disappointing

I just stayed two nights at Hilton Kuching, and it was such a perfect stay in a wonderful town, known for its hospitality and friendliness.
It obviously reflects the Hilton worldwide philosophy and the efficient management that every thing from checking in ( Petros and Marshall) to the Executive Floor (Rashid) goes so smoothly. I did not have a single problem during my stay .
The view from the Executive Floor is addictive and i spent a lot of time there while enjoying the peace and quiet area to work. Daisy Aileen Aisha Sheila Odelia were there to help make that stay at the Lounge more pleasant than normal.
Without doubt this is the best hotel in Kuching and it is well run and well managed and to me, it is a perfect fit. Congratulations Mr Brodie for your Management and I cannot thank Rashid enough for his erudite introduction into the culture of the region (I am an anthropologist).
There is no doubt in my mind where I would stay when I return.. and may it happen soon enough

Hilton has been in Kuching for many years and recently went through a thorough refurbishment in all their rooms and some of their facilities. Located right at the water front, this is a great convienient choice for any visits to Kuching. Many tourist sights and abundance of restaurants are all within walking distance. Do try their famous kolok mee and sarawak asam laksa which are available in most of the local restaurants.

Stay at the Executive Room on 12th floor and the club lounge command a fantastic view of the river (I think this is the best hotel with river view). Do ask for room facing the river. The refurbished room was nice with everything expected for this class of hotel, but the bathroom is rather small with a missing bath tub. I truly enjoyed sipping a cup of coffee at the lounge and enjoy the rivew view, while attended by warm staff. (Compliments to Amy at the Club Lounge) Breaksfast at the lounge is quite limited compared with the variety offered at their restaurant. Evening cocktail comes with simple finger food and drinks.

Although the lobby still looked rather dated and the renovated gym/spa facilities seem to be completed half-heartedly (you can still see some old equipements/facilities - the half covered old jacuzzi in the steam room as an example), this will still be my preferred choice of hotel in Kuching.
