Right from check-in to Check-out, the hotel lived up to its reputation and our expectations. The room allotted was just awesome with a nice bathroom although we had to go down from the lobby floor :-). The true feeling of a 5-star resort. The amusement park with 5 different theme parks are just the place to be.. the water park specially. The shopping mall at the sunway pyramid is nice and the best thing about it is the Ice Skating rink on the ground / basement floor. The hotel is very grand and lively at the same time.. no complaints about anything we tried.

We stayed in Sunway Lagoon Resort for three night on our recent trip to Malaysia. We had two premier rooms with balcony. Beautiful views of the theme parks attached. The swiiming grounds are beautiful so clean with cascading waterfalls and dolphin statues. Our rooms were very nice and were given two bottle of complimentary water daily even four at times. Breakfst here is huge and caters for a wide range of cultures. We also visited the attached theme parks at a cost of around 30AUD a person its not Gold Coast Theme Parks but for that price still lots of fun and my sons are 18 and 15. The attached Sunway Pyramid Shopping centre is huge and we had dinner there every night once at MacDonalds, Dragon I and the Thai restaurant. Great for picking uip snacks and drinks for your mini bar at much cheaper prices. Great place to stay for a few nights and just enjoy this complex.

Poor service at the Fuzion Restaurant in this hotel. Went with my wife for the buffet dinner. Food was plain and overpriced.

Pros
1. Very comfortable bed
2. Fast room service
3. Wonderful view of theme park.
4. Modern room. Love the central remote control for almost everything in the room.
5. Smooth check in and check out.

Cons
1. Room size could have been better, 2 people cannot walk without touching each other in the space between the bed and the table/desk)
2. Noisy lobby (their live singer was very poor...in singing and in dancing too. Probably the reason she was dressed too skimpily and too much makeup, to distract you from the lousy performance).
3. No wifi in room - I think this is essential nowadays. The wired internet is very expensive, and with limits to what you can use it for...e.g no torrents, and speed is just average.
4. Wouldn't hurt for reception staff to be a little more friendly after the guest has already checked in. It seems they were not 100% willing to be of assistance when we asked about surroundings, nearby facilities etc.

And this is not strong enough to be a point on it's own..insufficient signs for location of facilities (selective, some facilities are not shown).

Tip : Make sure you get the transaction slip to make sure your transaction is voided if you pay the deposit by credit/debit card. I made the mistake of trusting that it will be cancelled, and 2 months later, am still chasing them, each bank claiming it's released / not received!
