The family suite is meant for 4 adults and only has a single toilet which creates a huge bottleneck. My extra bed was not ready when I arrived, which defeats the purpose of stating it in the reservation. The two TVs in the room had only 1 remote control as well.

The day before check out, I requested for a large enough MPV to take my whole family in 1 vehicle to the train station. However, upon check out it was not done and the staffs even have to cheek to continually remind me that MPVs can only be arranged at least 1 hour in advance.

They got me 2 normal cabs, one of which had a rude driver who refuses to help with 1 heavy lugguage and told us to take another cab if we are not happy, and things got pretty ugly. None of the hotel staff stepped in to assist.

We had to engage our relatives to fetch us in the end. Although the cab driver is beyond the hotel's control, I feel that none of these would had happen if the hotel is able to provide a reliable transfer service.

The main attraction around the hotel is shopping and dining.
If that's what you plan to do around this area The Royale Bintang The Curve is a convenient hotel to stay in. You literally step out of the hotel into a hive of these commercial activities.
However the staff are rather impersonal. You hardly see anyone smile. The room is satisfactory. We stayed in Club Room which supposed to be a "better" room as it has a balcony. I stayed here on 31st Dec 2011 business purpose. I would say it's a No for tourist. You find nothing here but shopping. Sight seeing or tourist attraction is at least 30mins by cab (if traffic flow is in favor).

We have arrived the hotel after midnight, and was informed all the non-smoking room are not available. No big deal, we took the room anyway, then the nightmare starts. The room is not only not clean, the towel has black finger stin on it (not because of the age of the towel, but it was a dirty finger wiped on it); the wall has massive dust on it..... ok I can live with all that, considering I was only asking a good night sleep. But it didn't happen. Apparently, I was put in room 510, there is a huge ventilation pipe next to it, I was literately woke up by the huge noise in the middle of the night for couple of times. Rooms like that, they really needs to use as storage, no one should pay 255 RM to stay a room like that. We initially booked the hotel for two nights, but we finally decide to cancel our next night and move to the city.
