We stayed at the Hilton Baiyun during our Chinese New Year trip to Guangzhou. We stayed at an executive room, which was very spacious with a bathroom with plenty of space and amenities. The bed was comfortable with a pillow menu to cater to all sleep necessities. Due to the close proximity of the airport (27km), there were occasional noises of planes preparing to land, but nothing bad. We hardly noticed it. Room service was good, barring the 'Hainan Chicken'. I've had better Hainan chicken at food courts at malls and paid 1/3 of the price.

The breakfast spread was decent, with choices from both western and chinese breakfast favorites. Definitely check out the hotel's chinese restaurant for some quality dim sum. High tea and cocktails at the executive lounge was very nice, with a nice selection of both sweet and savory finger foods. Service at the executive lounge was also excellent, with very friendly attendants. Service at the hotel overall was excellent, with everyone willing to help with a smile. The only problem we had was with the operators of the 'Magic' button on the phone. Due to their lack of proficiency in English, a couple of room service orders were misplaced by them and it was an effort explaining anything. But to their credit, they worked with us patiently to solve any issues with communications. For the future, we'd suggest they hire a fluent English speaker for this post, it is the Hilton after all and some guests may not be as patient and understanding.

The hotel is located in the Baiyun area, and features the backdrop of the Baiyun mountains on one side and the huge Wanda shopping centre on the other. The mall has various options for restaurants, including international chains like Starbucks, Subway, McD's and KFC. If you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but still be close enough to be at the CBD in 10 mins, this hotel is highly recommended. The area is extremely peaceful and after touring/working in the city, you'd love coming back to this area just to relax.

Overall, thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Baiyun and we'd definitely stay here on our future visits to GZ.

We stayed here for three nights, on executive floor, the rooms were very nice, but air-conditioning kept going off which meant the room got unbearably hot. In addition the sound proofing leaves a lot to be desired as the hotel is close to the airport, additionally you hear the guests speaking when they go past your room at all hours.
The management and food is excellent, but the level of English needs picking up, as sometimes the staff mistakes your meaning. I went to the SPA and the young lady misunderstood me, in addition I had a problem with changing currency where I was short-changed and only after a fuss did they give me the correct amount
The General MANAGER and the Head Chef were superb going way beyond normal service,and I will be back shortly as the ambience and service out weighed the smaller niggles of new staff being trained.

Our family spent a great time in this hotel. We booked king deluxe suite which was great.Excellent executive lounge with great snack and drink were provided. Breakfast had a wide variety of food with high standard. However, the Christmas Eve dinner buffet disappointed my daughter. There was no Santa Claus, Christmas Carol and ........
We were impressed most were the service. All staff including reception, restaurant, room service, executive lounge, swimming pool were nice . They were so attentive and made us feel like royalty. Overall speaking, It is a great hotel in Guangzhou.

Firsly I didn't expect too much from this newly opened five star Hotel, but the magnificent lobby, comfortable room, abundant tasty food and attentive staff did give me an unforgettable experience.
Surely I will recommend this Hotel to my friends and colleagues who travel a lot.
BTW, the location of this hotel is very good and it is the only luxury five star hotel in Baiyun District.
