“The pillows are like BRICKS! ><”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 April 2011

The hotel was generally ok but if you can't sleep well there then there's no point staying there.
The room was nice with a small but functional bathroom like one on a ship, nice facilities, wonderful smell removing spray in the room for your belongings which need freshening, wonderful bath salts when we checked in, complimentary water, soap, Shiseido body wash, shampoo and conditioner etc. However, the bedding just wasn't good enough.

The pillows were so hard they could be used as an offensive weapon, I am not exaggerating, I really think it would be down right dangerous to hit someone with one with some force behind it. They did not assist with sleep.
There were extra blankets but they were not fluffy duvets and more the functional blankets of camping of which you need several to keep warm.
I couldn't sleep properly there and it slightly tainted my enjoyment of that wonderful city.

When we put the green clean please notice on the door asking for our room not to be cleaned, they didn't and they left us a bag with more water and towels on the door which was nice.
Unfortunately as one of the towels had a huge black curly pubic hair on it when I got it out the bag, I spent the rest of the holiday checking my towels front and back before I used them. Gross, just really, really gross.

I loved Sapporo and I definitely want to return.
However, despite the general good quality of the hotel, I won't be returning because I got very little rest there.

“Excellent location, very clean and new rooms”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 December 2010

Stayed for 4 nights at the Hotel and had the best sleep in my 11 days in Hokkaido. The room is very new and clean and the breakfast was great. Although it is slightly more expensive compared to Dormy Inn or other budget hotels, I feel that it is money well-spent. Best of all, it takes only about 3 minutes walk to the underground network of Subway and JR stations (Sapporo). If you have big luggage, walk a bit further and U will find an elevator to the stations.

“A fairly good hotel overall”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 July 2010

Pros: Good location (5-10 mins walk from the train station), friendly and helpful staff (some were exceptionally fluent in English), reasonable room and bathroom, comfortable bed, coin laundry facilities available

Cons: We requested a non-smoking room and were disappointed upon arrival to find out that they only had smoking rooms left (ie. if this is important to you, make sure you get their confirmation when booking)

Note: You have to pay upfront when you check in. If you are paying by credit card WITH A PIN NUMBER, the reception staff will direct you to a machine (looks like an ATM) in the lobby which processes the payment and gives you the room card automatically. If you are paying by cash or credit card WITH SIGNATURE, the staff will process the payment at the desk.

“Excellent Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 July 2010

Staffs were extremely friendly and willing to go extra mile to help customers even though there is a language barrier.

We had lots of luggages when we checked in during the evening. As my wife was carrying our 10 months old baby, there was only me hauling all the lauggages. However, the lady at the front desk promptly came over to help me loading the luggages to our room.

Room was very clean, simple decoration but all the amenities you ever needed were there.

One thing I was extremely impressed was that there was an afternoon when we left the hotel late in the afternoon so the maids were unable to make our room. However, they have left a bag of amenities and towels in front of our door with a card telling us if there is still anything we need, don't hesitate to let them know. I was so surprise because I have never encountered this kind of room services for all the places I have travelled around the world in the past.

The only thing about this hotel, if I must say something bad about it, is that the air-conditioner didn't seem to work to its optimal. Even though I had the thermostat set to low, the cold air was still blowing hard. But this is just a very minor thing.

If we were to go back to Sapporo again, which we will definitely, this hotel will definitely be on the top of my list.

“Solid Business Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 March 2010

Located near Sapporo station. Nice, clean business hotel with friendly, professional staff. A couple of bars and restaurants in the hotel. Rooms are small with a 20" widescreen TV, and great water pressure in the shower. The hotel was quiet. I will stay here on future trips to Sapporo.
