My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in July. The best thing about this place is it looks very new. Everywhere from the lobby to our room is very clean with simplified, modern decoration. We chose the single room which has a 140-cm wide bed but can be shared by 2 persons. The room and the bed is a bit too small for 2 persons but this applies to many Japanese hotels. We have stayed at a 4 star hotel in Osaka that probably about this size (but with bigger bed for 2 persons). The bathroom is of course very small but again very clean. I feel this is ok for this price range. I especially like the good smelling products (shampoo, conditioner, soap) they provide. The shower is with good pressure. And you can have a hot bath in their small tub. Overall this almost feels like a 4 star hotel with all their facilities and cleanliness.
Other things
Location – closed to JR Sapporo station. Just 2-3 minutes walk from the west exit. Follow the Paseo sign and you will walk pass Starbuck. When you get out of the station terminal, cross the road and you will see the hotel on your left about 100 meters down the road. From the JR station, you can also easily connect to the subway.
Breakfast – complimentary simple breakfast which includes 3-4 pastry, juice, yogurt, coffee, tea. If you want more, there are many choices in the JR station.
Food – just across the street, there is Sunkus convenient store which stock good variety of food, drink etc. No restaurant on site but there are many restaurants just next door and plenty at the station.
Staff – the lady who checked us in is not very fluent in English and speaks only easy sentences. But we did not really have to speak with them as our stay was
Completely smooth.
Other things – many pillow choices which you choose from the whole wall , laundry room, free fast internet connection in your room (LAN cable), free 1 computer in the lobby, ice machine, and vending machine. Make sure you bring the adaptor for appliance connection as the hotel does not have any to lend. (Japan uses 2 flat pin type).
