I recently stayed here during the Sapporo Snow Festival. Our stay here was top-notch. It is located about a minute or two from the subway exit with the lift. It is in Susukino which is the entertainment district and where you want to be. The main part of the snow festival is in Odori Park which is about 5-minutes by foot from the hotel. As is the TV tower. The second part is the ice sculptures in the middle of the main street a minute from the hotel. As for food and drinks, there is a good sushi restaurant on the 2nd floor of the same building. Even better: two buildings down from the hotel (if walking towards the station) is the Bow Bar on the 8th floor. This is perhaps the best Whisky bar around. The owner is a highly passionate bar man and speaks English well. He is more than happy to talk about Whisky and has about 500 bottles. The bar may not be cheap (we paid about 3000 yen per dram with the most pricey on offer being a 40,000 yen dram of an 1879 drop). I recommend the Ancestor which was from the early 70s. He will bring the bottles out and is happy for you to photograph them. He also has a massive Grappa selection. Ramen Alley is just a block away as well. But, I digress. The hotel was modern, clean, quiet, and the service was impeccable. A shout out has to go to Nagao-San, the Russian concierge. She went beyond the call of duty to give advice. She really is a fantastic face for the hotel. Would definitely stay there again!
