Stayed three nights. Easy access to JR station. Free use of washing machine and dryer. Washing powder can be bought for 100 yen. Breakfast at 1000 yen is fulfilling with many varieties of food. The hotel has a public bath if you love soaking in hot water. Rooms are clean. Book at japanican for the cheapest rate, 5000 yen per twin room (can sleep 3, in my opinion..)

Stayed at this hotel twice - Sep 2009 & 2010 - with no regrets. Snazzy looking rooms with everything in its place despite small dimensions typical of Japanese hotel rooms. Front desk staff were friendly & managed basic English. Front desk also offered a selection of freebies for guests' convenience such as hair pins & elastic hair bands (of which I picked up 2 pieces and turned 1 into a cute scrunchie). Guests could also run their laundry (2 pairs of washer & dryer) for free - need to time usage as machines tend to be occupied most times. Didn't bother to include breakfast with the room as had to check out first thing in the morning during both stays to catch early trains. Although located at back of JR Sapporo station, rooms were generally spared of train rumbles probably due to double-plated glass windows.

Since directions to the hotel were a little confusing when walking from the JR station, we enquired at the Tourist Info (there were English-speaking staff as well as English maps). There were also big maps displayed for public view. About 4 mins to walk from station to hotel - no problems with a backpack or wheelie bag.

My husband and I were staying in Hotel Keihan Sapporo for a totol of 4 nights in mid October. We booked this hotel through a Japanese website www.jalan.net. The reason were chose this hotel was that a friend of mine has been there earlier this year, and she said she would definitely go back to this hotel when she visit Sapporo in the future. It is only 5 minutes walk from Sapporo JR and shopping areas. Both my husband and I were very impressed with our hotel room, it was small but very comfortable, modern and stylish. The hotel staff could only manage to speak limited English but they are very polite and friendly to us. I love using the hotel indoor hot spring on the 2nd floor of the hotel. Another thing to mention is the hotel breakfast, there were quite a lot of food to choose from. All in all, we really love this hotel and we would definitely go back again when we visit Sapporo again in the near future.

no complaints here. the room was small (only about a foot or two around the double bed but it was clean and functional. the check in staff had limited english but were very polite and helpful. we got a great deal on rakuten travel for 60$ a night or so. (without breakfast). The hotel is easy to get to from the JR station (5 min walk) and the directions (with photos) are on the website. It is really convenient to take the train anywhere in the city.
