Location and decor were great. However, for those who are looking for some modern hotels, this may not be the choice. Service can be further improved from Bell Service to Reception. As it's my wife's birthday, there was a small gift in the room for her.

This hotel is10 Minutes walk from JR Sapporo station.
The room is beautiful and well decorated.
Hotel staffs are very helpful, they can speak English well.
Breakfast buffet is good choice, many type of food, good taste.

The room is small but really clean. The whole building is decollated in some kind of cute fairy-tale European style. We bought a holiday package deal for two including 3 nights stay in Hotel Monterey Sapporo, buffet breakfasts(2x3), a day trip to Kokusai ski field and return airfare from Osaka for about $600USD. I wasn't so mad about the buffet breakfast, it was okay.

Stayed here for a ski trip. They upgraded up to a larger suite! Thank goodness. As Japanese business hotel rooms are tiny. We had two bathrooms and a view of the central gallery of the hotel. It's in the middle of Sapporo - close to many restaurants etc. Breakfast was okay.
