this hotel location is so convenient.. it is just across the train station of Kyoto and in front of it is the main bus stop.. so it is easy to travel to anywhere from there if you are visiting the city.

the staff we sooo nice and helpful.. they provided me with maps and a small kit for female travelers.. they speak english well.. they were so polite and they kept my bag in both days before the check in time and after the check out time.

the room was very clean and equipped with everything you would ask for as a traveller. i didn't need to ask the staff for anything once i was inside. the bed was very comfortable queen size bed. there is a tv but i am not a tv fan so i didn't watch it.. there is a lan cable for free internet service which was fast and steady. the bathroom was also very clean and has everything, including Shiseido shampoo, conditioner and soap.. which is one of the best brands ever..

i didn't go for the breakfast so i won't be able to comment on it.

the only 2 things that some may not like, the room doesn't have except a small window that will give you a breath of fresh air if you need it but you won't have a view and the water boiler was a little bit old but it functioned perfectly. so if you are clastrophobic or you are intending to spend hours and hours in the room.. maybe you would ask for a different room that overlooks the street.. but for a tourist who is spending the night in the city.. it is a perfect choice.. affordable as well.

i would recommend it and i would stay here again if i am ever in Kyoto.

Superb location, located just opposite the Kyoto Station and beside the Kyoto Tower, you will not miss it!

The counter staff was friendly and could speak English. The room was clean,and it seemed the hotel has refurbished the room. All are new and clean, including the air con!. Bed was small, but because it is new, it is comfortable as compared that one that we stayed in Osaka. The only set back is that the one that we stay do not have window, Overall, if you are not particular about having window a not, the hotel is good for value because of the good location.

Very good location, just in front of main station allowing very easy access to public transportation. Rooms are rather small but this is typical for most Japanese hotels. A restaurant is available in the same building and is open until late night. Staff's English was understandable.

Fantastic hotel. Just right across Train station and the main bus terminal. The rooms were clean and has everything you would expect from a budget hotel.

Staff can speak limited English but if you need extra help getting around Kyoto just ask the people at the Kyoto Tourist Information Centre.
