“spacious serviced apartment”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 February 2012

The location of this serviced apartment is excellent as it is just a stone throw away from KLCC. It is about 10-15 mins walk to Bukit Bintang. However, there are some construction sites which you will have to walk around to get to Bukit Bintang. I will therefore advise ladies to exercise some caution if they are walking back alone at night since safety comes first.

The rooms and living areas are spacious and so are the bathrooms. I love their beds!! One of the best that I ever had for all my vacations - firm and comfortable. However, due to the nearby construction, I dont think you can sleep in late on weekdays.

Breakfast is sufficient though I think it is not as varied as what you can get in some other Malaysian hotels. However, we noted that this is after all a serviced residence and not a full hotel. The pool is kindda adequate. But do not expect resort style pools.

I found that this place is pretty popular with families. Probably because of its 3 bedroom apartments. However, the Ascott really does not have many child friendly facilities.

We love the kitchenette and living areas - extremely spacious for city centre living. However, the furniture is a bit dated but I think it is fine. It is probably their style. Overall, it is a well-kept and clean hotel, which is the most important.

“Great for the family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

We stayed in a large 3 bedroom apartment. All the rooms were large and comfortable, the lounge room was spacious and the included breakfast was good. The views from the pool/breakfast area made for a fantastic start to the day. The hotel is close to just about everything you might need and when travelling with our family I would definitely stay here again.

“Not next to the KLCC but almost there!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

We stayed here with our kids and grandparents. Booked a two bedroom but on arrival was told that we would have to split up into two single bedroom units, which was not an issue with us. Rooms come with a semi-equipped kitchenette, living room and separate bedroom. They are not brand new but maintained well. Washing machines/dryers are at the top level next to the pool and breakfast area. Nice rooftop pool and jacuzzi. If you are staying on the weekends/holidays, expect to have to sit outside as breakfast area gets crowded and breakfasts are alright, not the 5 star levels in other Asian hotels. It will do the job, but then you are in KL, so you can get much better food all around the city, who cares about breakfast? Best plus point is that it was a very short walk to the KLCC and the Petronas Science Centre which the kids enjoyed.

“Ideal for family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

We chose this hotel as we were travelling with mother and sister in law and this was ideal as we had a 2 bedroom apartment for us all. Easy check in and found we had been up graded to pemier suite on the 28th floor. One large kingsize bedroom with ensuite, bath, walk in shower ,double basins. Second bedroom 2 twin size beds with ensuite with bath and basin. Large living area with TV etc, small kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, kettle etc perhaps could do with a little face list, but good china and glasses. Swimming pool on 22nd floor, great views from infinity pool open till 9pm with free towels provided, also drinks and a small food menu available.
Breakfast served from 6.30 good selection and an egg chef for scrambled, omeletes etc. a little on the small side but you can sit outside with views of the Petronas Towers. 10 minute walk to the Towers and the massive shopping centre around it, plenty of place to eat in the food hall, including KFC PizzaHut if this is your choice. Could buy it and take it back to the hotel to eat great for people with small children. There are balconies but they are locked for safety, but you could open if you wished (not on 28th floor!!)

Room Tip: High rooms are quieter
