I have just spent 2 nights at this hotel whilst transiting Aus. to London. I arrived at 8.30 am, and whilst check in wasn't until 2pm, the friendly & efficient staff on the front desk found me a room, without extra cost, I was very thankful as it had been a long flight.
The room was clean, quite large, with all the necessary aminieties even though its getting a tad old. The bathroom was not so good there had abviously been blockage problems with the bath as the inspection tile was a different colour & half hanging out. The blockage was still there & I had to remove the drain plug completely to drain the shower water. Also the shower head leaked badly as the rubber seal ring was missing. The whole bathroom needed a good tidy up, re caulk, but was reasonably clean. The towels were old & grey.
(When the time comes to renovate get rid of the tan & red mottled tiles it looks like blood all over the floor & walls!)
The Buffet breakfast was extensive, hot & very good with food for all tastes vis:- Western, Indian, Japanise, Chinese & of course local. The resturant staff were right on the ball & very pleasent.
The buffet Lunch was also extensive & good & very well priced with good service.
The Lounge Bar has a 2 for 1 happy hour which made the pints of beer a reasonable price for a hotel.
Internet is not free, which I believe it should be, & inflexable as the half hour is one block of time, I also thought is was to expensive.
The location to shopping is very good - I will stay there again.
