“Excellent Hotel”

Trader Hotel is perfectly position opposite the Patronas Towers with a lovely park to walk thru to get to the shopping mall, we never used the buggy from the hotel to the mall as it was a lovely walk ( some people are really lazy). The train station is also in the mall which we used to get to Petaling street market (just get off at Pasar Seni station). If you want to go to KL tower which I recommend you do, a taxi from the hotel costs 11 ringits (just under £3). Just be careful on the way back as the taxi counter at the bottom of KL tower quoted us 27 ringits to our hotel, so we just walked down the steps and hailed a Blue coloured taxi who always use the meter and that journey was again 11 ringits, we were advised by our rep never to pay more than 30 ringits for a taxi to anywhere in KL . So my advise is only use the Blue Taxis or use the trains. The hotel is also only a short walk away from Bukit Bintang shopping area KL's version of Oxford Street London or Orchard Road Singapore. We would certainly return to this hotel.

Room Tip: Get a Tower view room, you won't be disappointed.

After spending 5 nights at Traders Hotel Singapore we flew to Kuala Lumpur to stay at the Traders Hotel. Fantastic hotel - staff/position/views - what more can you ask for. Our room overlooked the twin towers - what an a-maz-ing view. The lifts are fast and take you to your level very quickly. Not sure about the swimming pool and bar - not what we thought - but hey, who bothers, we were here to meet my partner's son and wife - we were both very happy.
Hotel were very good after we had left to fly back to Singapore - my partner had mislaid his mobile. The son made contact with the Hotel and was told they had the phone, so he was able to collect and return it to his dad.

Room Tip: Our twin towers view room was absolutely brilliant - the housekeeping staff friendly and keep the ro...

“Fantastic hotel”

A fantastic hotel with friendly, attentive & helpful staff. Excellent location within walking distance to most things if you're not afraid to walk for 5-10 minutes. Breakfast is varied and plentiful although if you arrive at peak times 9-10am you may need to wait for a table. Rooms are well appointed with fabulous views, an upgrade to the club floor was a welcome addition. We had one of our daughters much loved soft toys go missing in the laundry (our fault) and the duty & house keeping manager bent over backwards to help us locate it, going through bags of laundry personally by hand until midnight -all without complaint . A greatbhotel for many reasons, well priced, we would definitely stay again

Room Tip: Request a tower view room on the club floors

“Excellent room, great service, good price”

Really enjoyed our stay. We spent our first couple of nights here after arriving, so that we could get our bearings in comfort.

Great hotel. Excellent room (31st floor, from memory - one of the Traders' Club rooms) and really good service. Our baggage was delayed by a day and the hotel did us some free laundry while we waited for it to arrive, as well as looked after us with everything else we needed.

Excellent breakfast selection (we went to the one on the 10th floor each day, rather than the Traders' Club one).

One of the nicest hotels I've stayed at - a nice balance of friendly and flash.

Room Tip: Traders' Club rooms were really good - nice views and good breakfast options.

“Wonderful Valentine's Weekend!!!~”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 February 2012

My husband decided to celebrate our Valentine's Day during the weekend in a comfortable hotel. So we decided on Traders Hotel KL. Initially we chose the normal room to stay, but after booking, I had read through many reviews saying that it is worth to pay a little more to book club room instead, as you can enjoy the privilege at the hotel's exclusive Club lounge, Trader lounge. Therefore when checked in, we decided to upgrade to Club room. But as we were asking for non smoking rooms, there were no club rooms on non-smoking level at that time. So the friendly front counter staffs offered us a suite instead, Rm$10 lesser than a Club delux room but we are able to enjoy Traders Club services, including daytime beverage service and cocktail hours in the 32nd floor Traders Club Lounge.

The suite is big and comfortable, especially the bathroom! It comes with a bedroom and a living room. Both with a flat screen TV. The king size bed is comfortable, we had a great rest there! In the living area, there is a working desk and a L-shape sofa. And of course a TV too. One can watch TV in the living area without having to disturb your partner as there is a door dividing the bedroom and the living area. The only thing inconvenient is that the bathroom is in the living area along the corridor of the entrance, not in the bedroom. Therefore in the middle of the night when you get up from your bed and decided to go toilet, you have to go out of the bedroom, into the livng area and then get to the bathroom. And there is free WIFI too.

The Bathroom is the most amazing area in the suite. It is largeand luxurious, coming with premium toiletries such as Loccitane soaps, lotion, shampoo etc. There is a big bathtub, separate shower area, and also the toilet bowl is separated in a cubicle too. Once step into the bathroom, you don't feel like going out of it!

We did not use the swimming pool but we did went to the pool level to have a look. It is big, along with many sitting areas aound. Heard it will turn into a pool side bar in the evening. Anyway will try another time.

The services at the Trader Lounge is great. We can access to the lounge at 2.30pm to 4.30pm for some beverage service, and from 5pm to 7pm, it is the cocktail hour at the lounge. Guests staying at the club level and Suites can go and enjoy free beverage and mini buffet. Beers and wine are provide free and it is free flow. The most enjoyable thing is not the food or drinks but is the nice scenery when you look out from the lounge windows. The twin tower is just in front of you! It's a waste not to take photos of the twin tower from there. Guests also chat around with one another and we got to see a cute baby in the lounge!

We can choose to have our breakfast at the Trader Lounge or at the Gobo chit chat restaurant. The staff had advised us to have our breakfast at the Gobo Chit Chat restaurant at level 5 as there are more varieties there. Her advice is good, we really enjoyed our breakfast there and the food is great too! Except for one thing, it is too crowded and busy! But anyway, our purpose there is to have our breakfast!

The hotel also provides free Buggy service to carry guests to and fro the Suria KLCC. But even by walking, we can get to the shopping mall in less than 10 minutes. We also took a taxi to the chinatown one night and we appreciate very much for the advice given by the staff to take the taxi's that were waiting in front of the hotel. And these taxis are all go by meter. I was also impressed by the staff that she had taken down the details of the taxi we had boarded and this made us feel secured, because in this case anything happened to us, they will be able to trace back. And it shows that the hotel are very concerned about the guests' safety.

We really had a great time at Traders Hotel KL, and for the price we were paying, I think it's worth more than that. Will definitely come back again!!!
