This hotel was nominated the tallest hotel building in Tanjungpinang. Located just few blocks away from the ferry terminal. But we haven't try the top Open Cafe (level 9) area yet as we choose to have dinner at the Potong Lembu food street.
The room we got was Superior type, it have more space & bigger bed (for a couple really big enough). But don't come with room refrigerator. The bathroom quite medium size, doesn't come with bathtub (sigh), only standing shower with hot water.
Room quite clean and comfort, but the aircon on our room not cold enough... I even sweating when sleep covered with the blanket..
The staff service quite okay for this town level (don't compare it with Bintan resort service, differ a lots) as you need any extra services such as ferry ticket confirmation, you need to approach them by yourself.
The breakfast we had was mee rebus, half-boiled egg and lontong.. Taste still okay..
Overall this hotel is ok if you need a place for sleep for a night, or just for rest after touring the town, as it don't have any swimming pool or fitness area.

This hotel is quite old style, and does not merit the 5 stars it shows. Maximum 3 to 4 stars and a tour operator hotel look - massive look, no romantic beach getaway.

They sell you sea side deluxe rooms but this is totally misleading as you are at least 300 to 400 m from the sea, and see it in the far distance - s small and tiny view of the sea between some trees and palms but only if you lucky enough to be at a higher floor.

Friendly staff but not at 5 star level service. Management of hotel also not 5 star as otherwise they would not be satisfied with what they see. Example: wood on stairways to suites stained white all over the place by accident as soemone painted wall and was obvioulsy not a professional painter and did not tape his working area. In a 5 star hotel??? I could go on and on, but then whiile still sitting here in the room I would get depressed - so lets make the best out of it.

I booked my trip with 12 other family members with Anita Travel & was put up at Laguna Hotel.Upon check in my room was full of tiny cockroaches so I requested a change & the front desk officer go the cheek to ask me if the other room also infested with cockroaches,how?Is she supposed to ask me that?I hv 2 young kids with me & u can imagine our anxiety over their safety?They are supposed to provide us with a tour guide but they did not,they are supposed to confirm our return tix fro us but they did not & the worst part we had to pay extra for us to be able to go home at the scheduled time.The food is horrendous,not to mention their room service who refuse to entertain our order as they had oher orders.NEVER EVER STAY IN THIS HOTEL IF U DO NOT WANT TO REGRET.

its an average hotel, located near ferry terminal, its a quite old hotel but service good.
