It was a busy holiday weekend and although we'd been told that the hotel was fully booked we just showed up, were impressed by what we saw, and were able to get a suite on the spot and receive our room keys immediately.

The resort is clean, very well kept and beautifully landscaped. There is a golf course, a huge, multi-faceted pool with a rough clover shape so that you don't find one area of the pool to be overly crowded. There's a pool bar, a small waterfall feature, water slides, a jacuzzi and a separate poolside water play area for the kids. Securing a lounge chair at the pool could be challenging but that happens everywhere.
The beach is just a few metres walk through the garden and was clean and spacious. Water sports such as banana boat, jetskis and kayaking were offered and could be charged to the room or paid for in cash. There is a bar/restaurant/nightclub on the beach with a private screened infinity pool for adults. The resort also has an 'eco park' which I didn't explore but it has a kids' club, kid's movie theatre and several different kid activities available including video games, sand art, craft etc.
Bicycles are available for rent and the biking path goes around the golf course. Perfect thing to do after breakfast.

We had lunch around the pool at Glass (restaurant) and the burgers were delicious.
Breakfast was disappointing. Fresh, the main restaurant where breakfast is served, was full so we were directed to dine at Chinoise. For a long time there was no one manning the omelette station, most of the hot food was cold, the buffet selections were quite limited, the croissants were extremely stale and generally the food did not look palatable.
Room service was average.
Our friends, who had been there several times, always have dinner at one of the many open air seafood reataurants that are a mere 2-minute drive from the resort. We will definitely take their advice next time we visit Thistle because we will definitely be back and make it our go-to getaway when we want to get out of the city.

Hotel was nice with good location.
Glass restaurant has great Italian food.
The only bad things about it is house keeping service , my husband wait 30 mints in bath room for towel and shampoo.

We stayed for 2 nights and overall was satisified with the resort. The pool is one of the best I've seen. It is extremely big and is definitely a plus in this resort.
The food was only average as the breakfast and lunch spread was not as what we expected. Food quality is also average only and could be better
Rooms are clean and facilities are quite standard with any other hotels.
Good place for families as there are various activities and facilities to keep the children happy
