“Feel at Home and Amazing food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 February 2012

At delhi with my stays across all hotels , found the stay more cool and fast. the food was very good they have a amazing south indian restaurant. It is bit far away from the city and they would take some more personalize the stay. There are room of improvement but nothing to complain about.

“Great hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

My wife and I stayed at the Sheraton for two nights 2/9-2/10 and 2/11-212/12. Our check-in both times was very smooth, and in both cases one of the staff - Dipika - showed us to our rooms and was extremely helpful and courteous. It was surprising to see how much nicer the Sheraton in New Delhi was compared with any Sheraton property I have seen in the U.S.

The hotel is located somewhat on the outskirts of New Delhi, and it took us about 30-40 minutes to get there from the airport. There is also a large mall located nearby.

Our first night, we checked in around 7 pm and wanted to use the spa, which was closing at 8. What a surprise it was when the spa informed us they would be able to accommodate us on such short notice! Ravi and Seema took great care of my wife and I.

I also used the fitness center once. The fitness center is fairly typical for a Sheraton with respect to the equipment. The service in the fitness center, and in the hotel in general, was excellent. They brought me a bottle of water and a towel as soon as I entered the fitness center.

The hotel room and bathroom was good. We stayed in rooms 419 the first night and 603 the second night. We did not have much of a view in either room. Also, our first room was a little close to the elevator and we often heard people talking as they walked by. The complementary bottles of water was nice.

Internet was free for the first half hour in the Business Center which I thought was great. I did not use the wifi in the hotel so I cannot comment on the price or speed of the wifi. My understanding is that they charge for wifi which is unfortunate, since I believe that wifi should be free in a hotel of this quality.

The breakfast buffet was delicious and had a great selection. Furthermore, they will make just about anything that you request. I also ate at the South Indian restaurant one night which was delicious. There is a Pan Asian restaurant which looked good, but we did not eat there.

Just for perspective, my wife and I had spent the majority of the trip at Taj and Oberoi properties, and you can't really compare the service of these hotels with the Sheraton. However we found the quality of the rooms and the service at the Sheraton quite good, especially for the price. Surprisingly, I found the drink prices at the hotel bar downstairs to be higher than what I encountered at the Taj and Oberoi!

Overall, my wife and I really enjoyed this property would definitely stay at this hotel if we return to New Delhi.

Room Tip: Definitely hit the spa/salon if you have time. Also the South Indian restaurant is well worth tryin...

“Good Business Hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

This is a fairly nice hotel. It's not great, but it's acceptable. I apparently got upgraded to a superior room and compared to the other Hotel's I have satyed in, in Delhi, it was quite nice, although it was slightly tatty and weathered looking.

the welcome info was falling out of the folder, the walls were scuffed and the tv menu on channel two was stuck on the showing me which channels the music channels were on.

The staff were very nice and I had a fairly ok spag bol for dinner but the roles they gave me were awful. Completley stale! it was fairly late by this point so I didn;t bother to complain.

brekfast was very nice thoug with a good selection. All in all an ok hotel, but nothing I'm going to be shouting about

“Add 30 % to what you got quoted (hence the "average" score)”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

I got quoted a price of 9.500 INR per night inclusive of breakfast with some small print stating "plus applicable taxes", and ended up paying 12.500 INR per night.
It is not very difficult to let people know what they'll end up paying. As a customer, I don't care how much the government of India takes on a hotel bill, and I have the right to know what I'll be paying prior to checking in. Lying to your customers is never good for any business.
Upon checkin you will get a "wifi-voucher" which is everything except a voucher as you will need to pay additionally. In this price range, and with this sort or public (business) it is a shame that connecting to the internet is not included in the room rate.
Upon checkin I refused to hand over my credit card as I was going to pay cash. There is honestly no point in asking my credit card if I pay cash - after all, in a restaurant, dentist, hospital, shopping mall, you pay at the end - not upfront. Bad policy.
For the rest, the hotel is good but honestly in this price range it would be a shame if it wasn't.
Breakfast buffet is very good with a very extensive choice for all palates (European, Asian or Americans).
Location-wise it will depend on where you need to be in Delhi. It took me 90 minutes to get there from the airport on a thursdayevening (around 18h30) and around 30 minutes on a saturdaymorning to get to the airport.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for the constructive feedback. Please refer to your confirmation voucher, stating the room taxes, the tax information is also available on the Starwood website. Guarantee of payment entailed request for a credit card upon check in. However, a cash deposit is also accepted. The front desk associate has been corrected for the same. We look forward to your next visit and assure you that you will note the difference.
Yours sincerely,
Benita Sharma

“Mixed feelings”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

Pros - Location walking distance to large shopping centres, 40 min from the airport, good selection at breakfast however pastries were not fresh, bedding was very comfortable

Cons - Wifi is a RIP OFF, about 20euro an hour! (there is a business centre where you ca use the internet for half an hour for free but in this day and age, I think free wifi is expected especially in a 5 star hotel), not enough english tv channels, therefore value for money was scored down.
