always book the premier rooms its a little more for a whole lot more.
If you need to escape the hussle and bustle of india I recommend here!
From the free transfer from the airport you are in good hands, all of the staff are excellent.
Debbie in the premier lounge is great and will usuall remember your drink on your next visit.
make sure you include breakfast the buffet is awesome and they will even make chocklate chip pancakes for your children.
The only disapointing thing about this hotel is on a bad day it has an odour and that the pool is really cold.
We stayed stayed of and on between jan 2012 to feb 2012 ( overall 7 nights). We loved the hotel, rooms were extremely comfortable and generally the service at the hotel was beautiful. We were meant to have stayed at the hotel for 10 nights but it appeared that our first 3 night booking had been cancelled ( we booked through Expedia who blamed hotel and hotel blamed Expedia but lucky for us we found out before we travelled so got Expedia to our first 3 nights though we were disappointed that we had to stay elsewhere. On check in we had requested to speak with the manager who never called us with regards to the confusion of our booking and it was not until our final check in we demanded to speak with the general manager that someone rang us back and said she had never been informed by the front desk that we had ask to speak with her. We had a broken shower and had to ask for 3 consecutive days for it to be repaired before a service person came to look at it. At this point we were fed up of constantly complaining. at one of our check out they tried to bill us for early breakfast even though we had spoken to someone the night before and they had agreed that as we were leaving early we could have breakfast brought to our room at no further cost ( breakfast was included in our stay). We had paid for n ocean view room but had a partial view we are not sure if all the rooms have partial sea view.
Also, the bar area by pool outside does not allow children ( we had a 4 year old)even in the daytime which was quite a hindrance as we had to resort to going to restaurant or the suNsand hotel next door for snacks or drinks. Overall a lovely hotel, generally the staff were nice but maybe they don't communicate or are trainees.
We stayed here for three nights at the end of our five weeks in India and week in Thailand. We hoped it would be a peaceful rest after the hustle of travelling. We had arranged airport pick-up and sure enough they were waiting for us at 11pm, our body clock was 3am as we had flown in from out of India.
Our delux twin bedded room with double view was great, clean and the bathroom, which is really only part of the bedroom, like many Novotels, was clean, but it was a small double bed not a twin. After a lot of arugement we were told that as there was a wedding in the hotel they weren't able to give us a twin until the next day. We were tired and just wanted to sleep.
The next day we had to hassel the staff to move and waited until 2pm before they moved us. When at reception the two girls made a comment about out, yes we could understand a little, I laughed at what they said and made a comment back they were raher surprised! After that we seemed to get a room very quickly by the manager. But it wasn't a double aspect so he put another bed in our first room and gave us free wifi, yes wifi isn't free.
The hotel was full of the wedding and we had to complain 'cos the other residents weren't allowed to use the pool area to sit as the wedding guests were partying. In the end they gave the other guests an area to sit were you had to listen to the noise. The pool area would be lovely as it overlooks the beach. The beach is sandy and very nice to take a walk on and the area outside the hotel is interesting. Security was good.
The only main thing that would make us not stay there again was it is an hour and half into Mumbai to the Gatweay of India and museums. Too long a journey to bother going more than once. A good hotel though if a wedding isn't on. Food was ok and breakfast was fair.
