“Fancy and quiet hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 February 2012

If you are looking for a place near the Airport, ITC MARATHA is a good choice. The rooms are large; a wide selection of food is offered in the breakfast and evening buffet and the service is excellent. They were willing to solve any problem that we had (including refill our prepaid cell phone etc.).

The Spa area is very luxurious, however the gym is a little disappointing. They have four or five new treadmills, but they have a small selection of exercise machines. Again, the service at the gym is awesome.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for thoughtfully sharing your feedback. Your review encourages us further to offer the very best in world-class hospitality.

As for our service, it is always our endeavour to create a memorable experience — from the moment you step through the door until it is time for you to depart. There is also much to discover from an array of award winning cuisines ranging from Indian to Continental to Oriental across eight restaurants as food and beverage is an integral part of the hotel.

Once again, thank you for the appreciative note.

Warmest regards,
D Kavarana

“Par excellence”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 February 2012

My experience during the New Year’s 2011-12 stay was par excellence.

I was given an upgrade to the junior suite (https://www.clubitc.in/) and it was simply fantastic. The room was neat, spacious and very luxurious.

The service was impeccable and all the restaurants (Asian, Indian , South Indian) served gourmet cuisine

Overall a must stay if planning to stay in Mumbai suburbs (it is very close to the international airport)

Room Tip: Look for the garden facing room preferably in ITC Tower

“Amazing Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 February 2012

This was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. They have paid so much attention to every detail in the hotel. The decor is gorgeous. Even the metal detector is artful :) When you walk in to the lobby, women dressed in beautiful sarees greet you with a "Namaste"; this really adds a touch of class.

Since I am a Starwood Preferred guest, they upgraded me to a deluxe suite, which was amazing- huge living room, a kitchenette, and separate bedroom. A changing vestibule outside the bathroom. The shower stall had 6 jets of water with amazing water pressure and hot water. There was also a soaking tub, which I did not use.

We ate breakfast daily at the SPG level lounge (I forgot what they called it), with a great selection of foods in the buffet, and we could also order anything else we wanted- from traditional Indian breakfast foods to Western-style foods. We also had hors d'oevres in the same lounge every evening.

I reiterate that the decor in this hotel is amazing. The multi-level atrium is beautiful. Each floor has hallways with beautiully carved windows that look down onto the atrium. Each floor also has several pieces of beautiful traditional Indian art.

The location is not ideal for leisure travel, but that didn't bother me as public transportation (either taxi or rickshaw) is very affordable (great location for business travelers, as it is less than a mile from the international airport).

I would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat. I like this hotel better than it's sister hotel in Mumbai, ITC Grand Central.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for thoughtfully sharing your feedback. Your review encourages us further to offer the very best in world-class hospitality.

In keeping with ITC Hotels’ tradition of building hotels whose architecture is inspired by local history and culture, ITC Maratha is inspired by the Maratha Dynasty.

As for our service, it is always our endeavour to create a memorable experience — from the moment you step through the door until it is time for you to depart. There is also much to discover from an array of award winning cuisines ranging from Indian to Continental to Oriental across eight restaurants as food and beverage is an integral part of the hotel.

“She told me: Happy Chinese New Year”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 February 2012

Was there for work for a few days and it blew me off.

The interior of the hotel is themed to look like a palace. With its service, I felt like royalty.

Having to work there, the most important thing is to have good rest and I have to give credits to the comfortable bed.

The in-room meal was not so fantastic but was surprised to have very tasty and warm bread served with the meal.

I was traveling during the lunar new year. And while I was checking out, Singapore time was exactly at the hour of celebration. It was totally heart warming when the front office agent says, Happy Chinese New Year! I totally did not expect it. Simple yet I was touched.

“Wow. A palace. Amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 February 2012 via mobile

I've stayed at many top hotels around the world. This is one of the best.

As you drive up I said to my colleague "look at this place!". Little did I know it was our hotel!

Greeted warmly from the start you are checked in and taken to your room. I actually found the desk staff the least friendly part of the experience. Clinical and business like.

I had just stayed in the Le Meridien in Puna and although the hotel was not in the same league as the ITC, the service style was better. The ITC is more business like with almost a "superior" air about it. But I guess it's down to preference.

The hotel was "busy". No recession here. Full of business people hammering their expense accounts and airline crews.

I got put in a refurbished new room which was lovely. Plush and modern, with all the bells and whistles you get in a 5 star hotel. Bathroom is one of the best I've seen in a hotel, and beds ate comfy.

Gym was good, and machines had tv on them to watch and they also gave out headphones to use, as well as water bottles.

Ate at the buffet 3 nights, and found it very good, as was breakfast. Beer us £10 a glass, so be careful!

Ate at the Mongolian Bar B Q, and thought it was lovely.

Internet was pricey in my opinion and graded in 3 tiers according to speed. I upgraded to mid speed and still found it poor.

All in all a lovely hotel and near the airport too. Shame the locals do not live in such surroundings as its sad to be staying in such luxury whilst such poverty exists outside. But that's India sadly.
