I was in Chennai for a business meeting so decided to stay at the Lemon Tree Hotel for a night. I was with a colleague and I must say that our collective experience was average, at best. First, check-in took more than 30 minutes as the guys at the reception made several mistakes in room assignments and ultimately had to keep us waiting to sort the rooms out. Service at the restaurant was equally average as the waiters were simply not too interested in customer service. The only good thing for me was the room itself. Was neat and comfortable. Overall Service was average.

Having said that, I wont hesitate to add that Lemon tree is a good brand judging from my experience in other locations especially Bangalore. I think they just need to bring the Chennai hotel up to their standard.

We had a small conference there. They have a well equipped conference hall. Initially we were planning to stay in some other hotel and conference at lemon tree hotel. After seeing their services and facilities we chanced our plan.

Rooms are unbeatable. In my business visit i enjoy the benefit of work and leisure. Work for the day and relax at the hotel. The Staff are outstanding and so down to earth, namely the reception and the restaurant staff.

We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to our friends. Also we are planning for our next conference at lemon tree hotel. Thanks a lot lemon tree hotel team.

I found the hotel quiet , thogh located in a busy area. I suggest this hotel for many reasons, a few of them being the friendliness of the staff, the elephantine memory of the Chef Mr. Mubarak . He remembered the type of food we wanted and we did not have any problem with any of the food preparations. Then there was Mr. Praveen from the coffee shop, who is able to strikeup a personal understanding of your requirements in any area of the hotel and ensures it is done. As an example, we visited the hotel after a few months and he told us to let him know about 5 minutes before our coming down, to ensure we had our food ready the way we wanted it. The reception was good. Difficult to particularly pinpoint any unpleasant experience we had> Every employee was helpful and we were extremely satisfied.

Good hotel, at a good location, however the service is really average overall.
Room service takes ever to get there, when you book a cab through the hotel ... make sure they have written that down in their logs and numerous reminders that it needs to be there!
