I was really surprised by this hotel. I usually stay at the Taj or Hyatt when I stay in chennai, but as the Taj was booked and the Hyatt is so far away from my office I decided to try this and I have to say I will definitely be staying here in the future.

The rooms are nicely furnished with everything you would require. Internet access is free (which I don;t find in many of the 5* hotels I stay in) and the staff are incredibly accommodating. When I arrived in my room, it had two singles. I asked if I could change to a kingsize bed and straight away I was taken to a new room.

the staff at breakfast were incredibly helpful and the food choices were great. They made sure I had everything I wanted and the manager also took the time to come and check I was happy

I didn't use the bar or room service so couldn't comment on this.

An excellent hotel to stay at!

Very Honestly i had only overnight stay while enroute to Port Blair . My stay was with my wife and 2 kids .

1.) Hotel is around 18 kms - an 45 min drive from Airport located in busy suburb of the chennai .

2.) Hotel enternace, Lobby is sporty and bear a charming colorful appearance.

3.) Reception was warm as i expect from usual and bell boys were eager to help with luggae.

4.) Rooms well are good provided that starwood themselves rate it a tier 2 hotel {Tier 5 is premium class}. Smallest Rooms in terms of space i encountered anywhere in Starwood hotels comes with modest wooden theme. have two working desks , HS Wifi connection {complimentary }. Beds are OK quality . I requested for 2 queen Beds for my stay and they provided a single King size Bed and that too was not that comfortable. Other then that cleanliness and Hygiene were top class.

5.) Food was good mainly had Indian cuisines , Some more International varieties need to be added. Service was again brilliant . Prices are a bit high . Room has a min fridge but only with fruit juices and no alcohol

6.) Pool is small but good and so is Gym . Bathrooms don't have tubs and are crampy in space

7.) For a regular business traveller like me it would not be a good selection if he compares with typical Sheraton Hotels esp in terms of Room Space and if he is staying for more then 3 days . Till 3 days it is manageable. Better go for

But as i said even Starwood rates it tier too i will give it 3.5 out of 5

Aloft hotel is Situatied in IT Corridor of Chennai. There are lots of IT companies like Paypal, Ebay, Accenture, TCS, CTS in Sholinganallur. It is an ideal place to stay for IT people who have work in IT companies. The hotel offers modern amenities, Good quality good, rooms are good. Overall experience was good. The price varies from 4000- 6000 rupees.

Service at the Bar of this hotel is slow. Though it was not crowded, we have to prompt waiters many times for menu and refills. The key stopped working and I ended up wasting time by the time alternate key was arranged.

However I must add that room is nice and breakfast spread had good and many choices.
