I have stayed in this hotel with a prior agreement of full day (early morning check in and late night check out due to my flight timing). Everthing was agreed on the phone, and the room was boooked. When i reach the hotel, first thing they said was they will bill me 2 nights although they agreed with me earlier the charge will for 1 night. I have argued for this and managed to keep it 1 night charge and reconfirmed the check in and check out time - guess what? i got call to my at 12:00 telling me to check out! Again, had a hot discussion and made checkout time clear along with the charge. At the time of actual check out - guess what? they give me a bill of 2 nights! arguments....discussions...and got the bill corrected for 1 night. i paid the revised bill and left, but when i reach airport i just looked at the bill and realize that they charged for 1 and half days charge! i just overlooked it because i was so frustrated with their repeated mistakes in booking details and billing! So guys, anything you agree with this hotel get it in an email so you have some proof, and of cours re-check your bill before paying!

I arrived in the night (4 a.m.) but the welcome was very warm: a lot of attention for any problem oe needs you have.
I really was made to feel like a King. A credible and very warm hospitality. I was made to feel at home away from home.
Even the security staff maintained a smile!
You can also find excellent food (italian restaurant, indian restaurant and Chinese restaurant mixed with indian style, absolutely the best).

Chennai was our first city upon arrival in India and the Taj was a welcome site. The hotel is centrally located, very clean, helpful, courteous staff. We were part of a very small group (20 people) so check in was quick and easy. My first room (#18) was in very noisy area and they swiftly moved me to a quiet, spacious room the next morning. Beautiful pool and great spa services. Room service prompt, food average, secure and central location. Easy to walk to nearby large shopping mall. Would agree that hotel is good value for dollar.

Our recent stay at the Taj Coromandel was brilliant in all respects. The staff dispalyed the service level that you would expect of the Taj group and were always willing to help us, answer our questions and direct us. The in-room check in after a later flight was also greatly appreciated. Would also give kudos to their restaurant and the location of the hotel. Would have no hestitation in staying in the hotel again next time we're in Chennai.
