We stayed here for two nights and found it to be clean and comfortable. The food was quite good but more expensive than in some other equivalent hotels. I felt that this was a perfectly acceptable base for exploring Chennai and the area as it felt safe and was quiet inside. I didn't have time to use the pool or some of the other facilities. Free reliable wifi should be provided in a hotel like this.

We had booked this hotel for 1 night on agoda as they were having some special discount on the 'standard rooms'. After taxes we paid INR 5500 (~120$). We were expecting to have a decent experience as the hotel claimed to be 5-star rated. But not to be.
We specifically asked for a non-smoking room and we were given a stinking smoking room. That was a real bad experience to start the journey.
The room though was simple & clean, though smaller than other hotel rooms we normally get for that price. Free wi-fi was a good add-on. The beds were comfortable too. There ends the good parts.
We opted for a buffet breakfast the next morning and were shocked to see hardly any options for vegetarians like us, Even the few dishes which were available were cold and the taste was much below par.
All in all a very bad experience.

Very nice hotel, close to the business and shopping areas. The rooms were nice and well appointed. Check-in was smooth! The early shutting hours of the night-club was a dampener.
Overall, a genuinely nice experience. Take a short walk to the restaurant "Karaikudi" serving Chettinad food. The in-house south Indian restaurant had an excellent (spicy) thali.
Choose a room away from the main road for better sleeping hours. Internet access is via a password and does not work at times as their router is not strong enough.

Rooms are good. Pool is also very good. No free wifi. Breakfast is very bad. Doesn't suit to a star category hotel breakfast. I don't know about lunch & dinner as did not experience this. Parking area is good. But my driver said there is no proper bath room and rest area for drivers. So, he had to use the public toilets only which is not good. So, if you go with your driver, I don't recommend this hotel. Otherwise, you can.
