It takes 15 mins from hotel to jonker street
the hotel car park is big and most important...it's free!
nice view and comfortable bed (if you stay in deluxe room)

test the hot water supply once check in to the room. Dont think you want a cold shower after 2 hours walking in jonker street.

The location of the hotel isn't too bad. It is not near to the main attractions of Melaka like Jonker Street and the Stadthuys but it is only 5-10 mins drive straight down the main road of Jalan Bendahara.

This hotel is not worth the rate it charges because it is too old and not refurbished.

The hotel's decor is dated and equipment very old. The old CRT TV could barely hold a still picture. The pool was serviceable. Breakfast was barely acceptable and boring. The buffet dinner was cheap but bland. Overall, very poor food. Location wise, everything around the hotel except the 7-11 seems to close in the evening. If you wanted to eat something other than the poor hotel food, it is a very long walk or catch a taxi to town.

If you needed to stay in Melacca and there was nowhere else to stay this hotel is clean and relatively quiet. It's price however implies a level of charm and service which is woefully lacking. The rooms are old and tired, with the furnishings worn and poorly functioning (no hot water, blocked sink, mouldy shower curtain). Service was civil but disinterested. Drinks in the bar were appaling. Sweet warm white wine which had clearly been open for some time. Overall a tolerable but disappointing experience.
