Don't let the hotel info fool you - this is a long way from anywhere - except the new business district and Normal University. Apart from that it's an excellent, very modern hotel in Western Shanghai which is close to a lot of the new manufacturing and business areas but a long way from the tourist sites.
If you are up to the 1/2 mile walk to the nearest metro station then it's direct access to People Square, Century Avenue and all the downtown Shanghai/Pudong attractions, the Bund and more. A cab will cost 40-60RMB but you will need the hotel provided information sheet as most taxi drivers do not know where this place is.
Excellent restaurants (Greek and Sushi too!) and very popular with the local wealthy Chinese make this a good choice, if you are on a more limited budget and don't mind being away from the central Bund area. One bonus is that it's very close to the Zoo and domestic airport but don't get ripped off by the 400 RMB fee that they charge you at the airport. A local taxi is more like 50-100 RMB and many of the driver at the airport speak enough English to get you there without any hassle.
