Roomy rooms and suites, clean and comfortable, excellent beds and beddings, great room service, excellent amenities for the executive at work in room.
Great food, both European and Chinese. The newly renovated Chinese Restaurant serves excellent and healthy food and tasty soups and dishes, much less oily than any other restaurant. Great service at the Restaurant too.
The Club lounge food and service especially breakfast are unbeatable. Quality of food is excellent and hygenic. Internet and printers, meeting rooms are readily available at Club Lounge.
Warm welcome when you enter the Hotel, in fact staff are very courteous and attentive, making stay very enjoyable.

Fitness room and swimming pool, though clean, but are much smaller than those in most five star hotel. However fitness room is equipped with up-to-date equipment and TV
stations. It is adequate in my view.

I have stayed in this hotel many times over the past few years, and have never been disappointed with food and services. It is recommended for those who do not have to stay at
modern -design hotels, but to look for excellent working environment and services.

I have stayed at the hotel 4-times in the past 6-months and it has never failed to impress with exceptionally high levels of service, room quality, and some really good value room rates. (I have paid as low as £64.00 a night including the very good breakfast).
The hotel is very well located, close enough to walk to Century Park metro station (on the direct line from both the main airports). Lots of higher end shopping and restaurants nearby and a short taxi ride to the bund / old city. (Taxis have gone up in price recently but are still far cheaper than most other developed cities).
Check in is fast and efficient and I've checked in as early as 8.30 am. The rooms are always spotlessly clean. Complimentary water is in the room and bathroom products are Elemis. I've always been up-graded, I think it is one of the big benefits of this hotel, if you book the lowest grade room, even through a booking on-line service, you'll get something better. If you are a Ambassador member, expect a large suite.
I've not used the Club Room or eaten at the hotel but all look fine. If the quality of the breakfast buffet is anything to go by, then it should be good. It can though get a little busy.
The only downside with the hotel is the amount of construction taking place around it so ask for a quiet side.

Shanghai is a "female" city - like Berlin - mostly unpredictable that is..
Dangerous and pointing if you approach her the wrong way.
She may also hurt you seriously by bringing old and passionate stories of lost women to your mind again and again in a most mind-bending and torturing way as only female cities can do towards sensitive men. I can write a(nother) novel about it, I am afraid.

Still glamorous, roaring and unsurpassable in her night life.
To this end, a most "square minded" hotel is the best choice for sensitive male business alone travellers.
Your hotel is as such, as it provides a masculine safety and responsibility easing mind firstly and body in an aftermath.
I have only one suggestion: Do try to combine yogurt and Greek sweets (like sour cherry) as a dessert. I am sure your GM has an opinion on that...

Rooms are good, service is fast and friendly. Buffet is good however noticed that the same food is presented breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bar is usually quite quiet during the winter however is lively because there are phillipino girls singing 6 days a week in the evening.
