“Home away from Home - good food, good wine and good fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2009

We spent 11 fantastic days at Silver Cord B&B. Adrian and Sonia and their family are very welcoming and warm hosts, and were very keen to ensure we had an enjoyable time. We were even included in the Christmas celebrations which was very special when you are away from your own family. As mentioned by other reviewers one of the highlights was Sonia´s cooking which is fantatsic. The location is beautiful, the garden is great for relaxing in and has wonderful views of the mountain.
We also thouroughly enjoyed our excursions with Adrian including the Dakar day, our horse ride and trekking to 3500 metres. We were impressed with the wildlife we saw including guanaco, condors every day and many other bird species.
We highly reccommend Silver Cord B&B

“A Great Adventure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2009

Myself and 2 buddies spent 1 night and 2 days at the Silvercord B&B.
Adrian was an excellent guide who was determined to get us a birds eye view of the Condors. We were not dissapointed. The adventure day was so enjoyable , we tried it again on the 2nd day on the other side with even more spectacular views.

I would highly recommend staying here as both Adrian and Sonya were great hosts with fine food on offer too.

“Excellent hospitality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 August 2009

My wife and I stayed here for one night in May 2009. We flew into MDZ and rented a car for the drive up to Silver Cord. Maps and directions provided on the website were very helpful (particularly the GPS coordinates). We got a little lost due to the fact that our GPS didn't know that one of the roads existed. After circling the neighborhood for a bit looking for any building with an obvious "Silver Cord" sign, we pulled alongside some folks chatting on the street and were directed to the appropriate place.

Adrian and Sonia welcomed us warmly and showed us our accomodations. We opted for the homemade dinner consisting of a variety of pizzas, dessert and wine. That was some tasty pizza! So gracious and hospitable was the whole family, that we felt like we were visiting old friends.

Unfortunately, do our all too brief stay, we were not able to take advantage of any of the adventure tours, but Adrian was very helpful in guiding us towards a brewery not far away (Jerome brewery) as well as giving us pointers for out day-trip the next day - a visit to Aconcaqua.

It was a great experience and a great place to stay. While I can't say if or when we will ever make it back to that corner of Argentina, if we did, we would certainly stay there again.

“Rocket men”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2008

We stayed for two nights and went on two expeditions with the intrepid Adriano and Guillermo, one trek and a drive to Aconcagua. Wish we had more time to do another outing and try Adriano's barbeque. Great food, especially the local mushrooms with pasta. Would definitely like to visit again and do some UFO spotting with the guys.
