we stayed here for 3 nights to visit the monasteries in Meteora. This hotel gets my vote for cleanliness, hospitality, service and location. The breakfast offering has more selections than what I have seen at most B and B's. The owner, Maria, makes it a point to meet her guests by going over the buffet selections. I thought that was very charming and personal. (although she does not introduce herself as the owner) We picked up on it as we were conversing with her during the 3 days we were there for breakfast. Apostolia at the front desk is just as charming, helpful and friendly (and looks like Shakira). She is always to happy and ready to answer guests' questions on directions, restaurant recommendations, etc even if she probably answers the same questions several times a day, day after day.
The hotel is newer, built about less than 10 years ago so you will not see see frays around the edges. Everything is in tip top, working condition. Housekeeping mops the floor with soap everyday so the room smells fresh. Maria shows lots of pride of ownership for the hotel and it shows. I will highly recommend this hotel to anybody needing a place to stay when exploring Meteora.
Tip: there is a lively market in the center of town, near the big waterfall fountain, on Fridays until around 1-2 pm. They close several streets to car traffic and you get to see local residents shop for their provisions for the week plus more. There are local produce, honey, cheese, dry goods, plants and bric a brac. Very lively, local scene.
