As you know Sweden is VERY EXPENSIVE. So a 15km TAXI from Arlanda airport to this place will cost you 280-400K (minimum 35 Eur). The bus option is 'worth it' if you have the time and patience. There are 2 options: 1 - direct bus with a final 15 minute walk (not if very cold?) 2 - 2-bus with change at MARSTA station which then stops exactly in front of hotel! (This costs around80KR (or buy the blue card for 100+20KR = Eur15).
The hotel is spread over a hill with a number of buildings consisting of upto 60 rooms each.
Building 5 had a baby sleeping (or rather screaming) and the soundproofing leaves a lot to be desired.
The port of Sigtuna is very picteresque and one can jog either along the lake or in the forest.

The Stora Brannbo restaurant is very good - but on Sunday evening it is closed and one has almost no option to eat (apart from a kiosk or a salad bar or the supermarket).

You have tea and coffee making facilities but used items are NOT replaced the second day...
No ironing facility....

The food, especially the lunch was wonderful. The meeting facilities was average as was the accomodation (small room, not very soundproof). And with the high price I think we should expect better. Convenient location if you arrive to Arlanda

Sigtuna is a quite, picturesque and civilized town, and this hotel is an extremely relaxed and friendly place where everything is high quality. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful, and went to a lot of trouble to help me out with one or two things. Because I miss practising guitar when I am away, one of the staff lent me her son's guitar for the duration of my stay! They also have an excellent gym, no-hassle free wifi, and amazing food. Personally I prefer tea/coffee facilities in room and this hotel happens not to have that. But, they very kindly and happily gave me a kettle to take to my room, and all the teabags I required; in any case, around the reception area there is excellent quality tea, coffee and snacks available all the time. An absolutely top place.
