This family that runs this lodge will help you make the most of your stay in Bhutan, whether you're a tourist (as most people are) or on an extended visit for business. It's about halfway between downtown Paro and the Tiger's Nest monastery that is a must-see for any visitor. The rooms are big and clean and have terrific views of the mountains. The staff hosts guests for tea and snacks several times a day. Food is basic Bhutanese cuisine, heavy on rice and (sometimes very spicy) vegetables and sauces. There's even a bar for late-night drinks. The best thing is the friendly staff of the lodge, who will make all kinds of arrangements for seeing various sights or go shopping or tour around. Bhutan is a place where tourists need to be flexible and the staff at Rinchen Ling knows how to smooth the rough patches and cut through the red tape when needed. And, because altitude sickness can be a problem for some tourists, the staff also knows how to help people cope with that. The lodge is also a very comfortable place to relax and hang out. The common rooms are big for when a group wants to meet. And the individual guest rooms are also nice places to relax and enjoy the mountain air.
