My wife and I hired a car service and guide, James with Flex Wine Tours (reviewed independently), to take us around Napa for 2 days. We toured 8 wineries in two days, 4 on Saturday and 4 on Sunday.
Frog's Leap was our first winery of the day, as we were advised to get there early before the herds of people came in. We were greeted and brought to our high top table on the back patio overlooking the gardens. Our tasting was pleasant as we were presented with 4 wines and and cheese plate. Once the wines were poured, the attention is pretty much gone. We took our last glass of wine for a stroll of the gardens.
Of all 8 tastings, our "experience" here was the poorest. We prefer the boutique winery where we receive personal attention and taste the library/reserve wines. For example, we did several small estate tastings where we spent 1.5-2 hours with the winemaker throughout the tasting.
I really think Frog's Leap is a great place, but just not our style.
