We stayed in one of the studios with a lake view and loved it. Great location, nice pool and hot tub, and beach access. The kitchenette was well stocked and we prepared most of our meals in it. The staff were super helpful and we enjoyed the s'mores each night around the fire pit. We would definitely stay here, again!

As first timers to Lake Tahoe we didn't know what to expect, but what a delight Cedar Glen Lodge is - we loved it!

From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the super friendly and helpful owners and staff. We were starving after a long drive and were quickly directed to local eateries. Our room was perfect - number 33, where you can lie in bed and see the lake. The standard of refurbishment is excellent.

We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, but loved our S'mores training course around the fire pit in the evening (us Brits needed help with marshmallow toasting technology).

The restaurant is superb. We ate there twice - once in the full restaurant and a second time we had salads and a drink at the bar. Both excellent.

My stay at The CGL was only 3 nights in mid April 2014, and I was definitely wishing I could stay longer! I stayed in a studio with a kitchenette and it was perfect for me. Two could probably fit nicely as well. The decor was very up to date and functional. Free Wi-Fi was great. The staff, as well as the owner herself, was all readily available, quite friendly, and helpful. I couldn't figure out how to get the sauna working and was assisted immediately...even when it was total operator error. The S’mores and bonfire every evening, which was complimentary was a big hit with me. The location was great with a beach and hiking trails incredibly close and convenient. Safeway was five minutes away for any cooking or eating needs I had. All in all I very much without hesitation highly recommend this place to anyone. It can be a little costly if you don't use a Groupon or some voucher; however, in my opinion I would take this over a Hyatt any day and the experience is far more friendly, welcoming, and probably much cheaper. all in all a great little place to stay.

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon. The room was spacious and loved the rustic room decor! Close to many activities around the area (kayaking, hiking trails, horseback riding, biking). Supermarket is down the street where we picked up food that we grilled at the lodge on one of their outdoor grills. The campfire with smores is a great way to meet others staying at the lodge. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again!

We had our family reunion in Tahoe and we all stayed at the Cedar Glen Lodge in June 2014. We had 30 people and the Lodge accommodated us perfectly! The rooms were very comfortable and had been recently updated. The location of the Lodge was perfect for a variety of activities including Kayaking, Paddle Boarding, relaxing on the beach, and was close to Tahoe City (where we had booked a few activities). The staff at the Cedar Glen Lodge was very attentive, and gave wonderful customer service! We especially liked the central bbq area which had a pool, Jacuzzi, putting green and bbq's (which we used for a family dinner one evening). The s'mores by the fire each night was enjoyed by all! We will definitely be back!

Room tip: We loved our room which was 29, and we had the deck with the view of Lake Tahoe.
