Very nice display of very old history. The kids enjoyed the outside display of equipment they could play with. The inside is old things on display (don't touch).

We all have heard about the historic efforts of Seal Team 6 in the killing of Osama bin Laden but few of us knew of the Seals previously. The are the the elite of our military forces. The UDT-Seal Museum gives the history of this unit .The "frogmen" were born in Fort Pierce so the location is fitting. The history and exploits are informative . We found we knew little of the achievements of the Seals .The displays include small items from hardware to the 10,000 pound life boat from the Somallian kidnapping and rescue of Richard Phillips . By all means NOT dull but rather exciting seeing the history of the Seals.

Imagine it is 1940: a group of new Navy trainees arrive on the Atlantic ocean in Fort Pierce, Florida. Nothing around but the sea, hot sun, sand fleas and mosquitoes. Oh, and yes the heat and humidity. They trained as UDT's (Underwater Demolition) experts and were responsible for blowing up obstructions in D-Day, among many other hundreds of daring exploits. Now we are back to today and to the Navy Seals, the ultimate result in 1962 from UDT Frogmen days. The Seals have a well deserved museum not only worth seeing, but experiencing what freedom really means, and, the importance of our brave and highly skilled military. The museum has multi-media presentations that take you from WW2 through Viet Nam and into the Maersk pirate/Captain rescue through the events that brought down the villian Osama Bin Laden. SEE THIS EVENT and bring the children, the grandparents...all. You'll feel warmer in your heart when you leave. And your mind will remember the dedication and sacrifice for a very long time indeed.

This is a very educational museum where you will get solid history on the Navy SEALS and how they have contributed to our national security. This is a fun place for families, plus it's right on the beach!

If you want to see a lot of real items and not recreations this is the place to go. A great display of actual vehicles such as river boats, Huey helicopter, submersibles, Apollo traing mudules and that is only part of what is outside. Inside uniforms, eqipment, and more vehicles inluding the fanous lifeboat that was rescued.

Did you know that Ft. Pierce, FL was the birthplace of the Navy "frogmen."

Thanks to all military personnel and especially to special forces groups as the SEALS.
