Had a great experience at this hotel.... The receptionist was super friendly with a great sense of humor and offered me great advise on what to do and where to go. Think her name is Ana. I would definitely stay here again.

Room tip: Southern rooms have a great view

Service was awful throughout the entire trip. My husband and I only speak English and were looked at as the foreigners. Rooms were not clean. My husband got athletes foot after the first day. The back of the hotel is a great set up and the location is nice; but I'm sure you can find much nicer hotels with cleaner rooms on the same road for the same cost.

I have made 7 trips to Miami and everytime I was there I stayed at the South Seas! At check in you would think after all the stays there they would acknowledge me as a return guest but,Nothing mentioned. This time I was there for only 2 days and arrived at the hotel around 11am I asked how long the room would be ready the lady at the desk said to come back at 1:30 when I did the room still wasn't ready- so I spent the day at by the pool and finally around 4 it was ready. The room was ok had a funny smell and the following day the housekeeper didn't leave us any towels or shampoo/conditioner or soap! Another thing was the pool it was terrible so unkept! Stuff swimming all over the place so we spent our time at the beach. The location is great and close by to nightlife in Miami but South Seas really disappointed me this time.

This was a good buy. The staff was very friendly. There is a nice sized pool if you are not a beach person, The beach is a short walk outside the back gate and the propery is close to Lincoln Road and Espinola way.

So I made the mistake when in a bind to book a hotel with travelocity for reasons of flight schedule departing from Europe. At the time, Soth Seas was not listed in the offer.The day after checking in to our disaster Hotel, we walked over to the South Seas, as we have stayed there before and it had become our "secret gem". When I told the lady at the desk my situation and dire need to get my children out of the hotel (although non refundable) for the next 3 nights, the were able to make arrangements for us. The last night, we "checked out" but we able to leave our belongings at the desk for the day untill we were sure there was nobody cancelling that a room may open up. They did their best...till about 6pm. We stayed by the pool, had lunch and waited it out. We had to go back to the rat rrap of the original hotel for the last night, but the SS saved our days in SOBE before we took off for our trip to the Gulf. We thank you EVER so kindly...and will see you next summer :)
