Starting out your stay you feel safe and exclusive with the gated front entrance then on up to the grand portico to check in after check in drive down to the covered parking to unload all the beach acute am it to the private elevator that takes you straight to your vary own foyer into the well kept, up to date unit with breathtaking views that no matter what you pain it wasn't enof for this slice of paradise on to the resort style pool that has a beach entrance and water falls on one end and fountains on two others. And if you would like hit the sugar sands of the gulf of Mexico. Don't forget the hot tube, steam showers, 2 gyms, social rooms, tennis, and movie theater, yes a movie theater wow what agreat place. This seems like alot but you always have staff to help show you around, with a security guard at night. Wow what a place.

“Indigo in 2011 - Best Condo and Best Time Ever!”

Our family has stayed at Indigo for 4 years. We love Indigo, but have had mixed experiences from our condo rentals, which we have booked both through a big company and directly from an owner. We had a bad experience last year booking from an owner, because the unit was not cleaned, and we could not reach the owner for 2 days, so there was no one to fix the problems. This year we stayed in a unit we found on vrbo, vrbo # 126548, which was Indigo 1702 East. It was the nicest Indigo unit we have stayed in, and is definitely the one we will try to get every time. Even though it was on vrbo, it was handled by a really great rental company who was right in Perdido Key, Luxury Coastal Vacations. They made our experience great start to finish, from quick email responses, great price, and, most importantly, a VERY clean condo. The condo furnishings in 1702 East were gorgeous, and the kitchen was the best equipped we have ever seen in a rental. The last time we stayed at Indigo we booked the unit through a big company, and were really disappointed in the lack of cooking supplies, tiny and thin bath towels and uncomfortable sheets, so we were especially happy this time to find big, plush cotton towels with an umbrella monogrammed on them (nice touch) and the sheets were super soft, which made the owners obviously expensive mattresses even more comfortable. There was also really nice soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion plus even a mending kit, which we have never seen in a rental, and were most appreciative of when the hem came out of my swim coverup. We really felt like we were in a 5 star hotel. We also loved the games and books in the condo, and thought that was a really addition the owner provided. The rental this year also included beach loungers and an umbrella, so we did not have to drag chairs to the beach, which was great for my elderly parents who traveled with us this time. They also loved the cushioned lounge chairs the owner had on the unit balcony, which looked brand new. The unit could not have been nicer, and the property still remains our favorite vacation spot. It has to be 6 or 7 years old, but it still looks really nice and the pool is awesome. We did notice that the pool chairs need to be bleached or scrubbed, and it seemed like the staff at the resort was not as on top of things as in the past, so hopefully that will improve by next time we visit. We used the theater this year for the first time, and our kids loved the experience (we even brought popcorn!). My husband used the fitness center several times, and we even played tennis once. Otherwise, we did a whole lot of RELAXING and enjoying family time! Everything about this resort is first class, and we highly recommend Luxury Coastal Vacations and the awesome unit we booked this year! Definitely a 5 star stay!!

“Wonderful Complex”

We just recently returned from our yearly family vacation to Perdido Key Fl. We originally were booked at The Palacio but after seeing the horrible conditions of that unit we thankfully were able to get a unit at The Indigo in the West building. We had a 4 bedroom unit that was spacious and VERY clean! It was more than we expected it to be. Our boys loved staying there! The grounds were wonderfully kept up and yes while we were there the pool area was closed till noon one day while they cleaned the pool and trimmed back the palm trees. This was not an issue for us since we would spend mornings down at the beach and our afternoons at the pool. We never had any issues with the gate entry and actually our 5 yr old would punch the code in after we would return from dinner. He loved it. I will say that the tv in the main area would suddenly turn off for no reason and you can hear the people above you more than we have been able to at other complexes. All in all though we loved The Indigo and will more than likely be staying there again next year. We have stayed at La Playa, The Beach Colony, and The Belvedere and all were just as lovely but the pool at this complex really put it over the top for our young boys. We had a third car for part of our stay due to extended family visiting and we were afraid we would get a notice but we never did. The two car limit is reasonable. The La Playa we loved as well but has just a ONE car limit and thus we will not be staying there again. That is just crazy! We loved the idea that when you get off the elevator you are right in your own foyer. We highly recommend The Indigo and will never be staying at The Palacio again.

“Terrible place will not be back”

Don't waste your money or time on this condominium. The gates to the beach and the pedestrian and auto gates codes don't work most of the time, leaving you stranded in a long line of other people who can't get the codes to work either. There is a black man (Lee White) who hangs around the pool & ogles the young girls and harasses guests for tips and actually approached my husband on the 7th day of our stay and accused him of "not being a guest" because he came to the pool looking for me and my children without the rubber wrist bracelet on. When my husband told him he was indeed staying here and had just come down to look for me (so he didn't need the bracelet) the black man then said, "you don't have to be an a--hole." Regarding the condo itself- many of the electric sockets in 1904 are covered up. If you make the mistake of uncovering one and trying to use it the breaker flips and all the power shuts off. The televisions in 2 of the 4 bedrooms don't work at all. The hot and cold water in the master bathroom is reversed. The condo only allows 2 cars per unit and will post a rude "You Are In Violation & Will Be Towed" sign on your vehicle if you happen to have a car parked in the lot without the parking hanger. On the 5th day of our trip the pool and hottub were closed until noon for maintenance... Not good if you have young children. The restroom from the pool area in the West bldg. requires a room key, and there is only 1 handicap parking space in the garage, which is Not located near the elevator. There are no instructions for the "free high speed internet" so if you have business to do or emails to return don't expect the office to return your calls for the network key. While we were here the password was "securedaccess" but would go in and out during use. We have stayed at many condos in Perdido and Orange Beach, including Palacio, The Turquoise, Phoenix West, etc. and will definitely not return to Indigo. Big mistake booking here. Huge.

Room Tip: Indigo is Awful
