“Nice Getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2011

Driving to the B&B was awesome. The leaves were changing in the mountains and the countryside was the best. Upon arriving my girlfriend and I was greeted by Phil and given the must do's in the area. Next up was the tour of the facility and up to our room "The Sir McIntosh Suite". The room felt like home, very immaculate, and my favorite a Chair w/an ottoman in which I took many naps. The area is mostly secluded, no cars to be heard the driveway is maybe a mile from the main street. Most eateries are about 12/15 miles in Ellijay, Jolly Roger, Dairy Queen, and Food Lion. Local Wineries was awesome Sharp Mountain which is about 20/25 miles in Sharp Mountain in Jasper County. Word of advice do not use the GPS it will have you actually going up a mountain with no paved roads! Please call. As for the best, was the breakfast prepared by Pat. She made a Fruit Salad with sour cream/brown sugar (on the side). After that came the made to order omelet with home fries and bacon. Morning 2 was pancake rolls or balls with caramel and powdered sugar, fried apples, and sausage links! Yummy.... I ate all my food so I can go outside!

Overall this is probably the best B&B that I have stayed and will come back. We had an awesome time thanks Phil/Pat.

Room Tip: Look at the website all rooms are great, just your prefrence.

“For "first - timers" with a reluctant husband, Hearthstone exceeded our expectations and has us wanting to come back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 October 2011 via mobile

From the moment we pulled into the driveway and saw the beautifully lit lodge we knew we had made a great choice. After check-in we were offered delicious homemade cookies.

All 3 guest rooms were located upstairs. We adored the Lady Gala room with it's toile decor and claw foot bath tub.

Breakfast was delicious, VERY filling, different each morning and served on beautiful dishes.

We highly recommend booking a massage. Spa room located on the same floor as guest rooms.

We also booked a picnic lunch which was enjoyed at Carter Lake! Take time to hike down to Sugar Creek. Great workout and peaceful.

We had dinner at Charlie's, an Italian restaurant in Ellijay. Very
good meal!

Phil and Pat made us feel so welcome! My husband, who was reluctant to stay at a B&B is already talking about returning!!

“Quiet, secluded retreat in the North Georgia mountains”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 June 2011

The 3-guest room Hearthstone Lodge exceeded our expectations. The innkeepers were very attentive. Breakfast was gourmet and served on a different set of china each day. Phil took us on a ride around the property. Amazing setting! Then common areas in the lodge are spacious and elegant, yet very inviting. It was a perfect 40th anniversary getaway.

“Ahhh, you have found a wonderful place to relax.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 March 2011

Not too far north of Atlanta, you can unwind with peace and quite at the Hearthstone Lodge. Phil and Pat will make you feel like treasured friends with their exemplary hospitality. The lodge exudes classy warmth. The area around there is beautiful. How many places have natural waterfalls on the continguous grounds? You will want to go, put up your feet and read a book. You do not even need to bring a book, with their extensive collection available to you. Get a massage in their little mini-spa there. And, it is a romantic spot, too!

“Best Babymoon Ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 March 2011

We loved every moment of our stay. We were looking for some relaxation and rest before baby #3 arrives in June, and that's just what we got! Phil and Pat are wonderful hosts! We have stayed in quite a few bed and breakfasts and this is one of the few times we can honestly say we are ready to go back today! If you stay here you will enjoy scrumptious FULL breakfasts that will leave you not hungry until dinner, beautifully appointed & comfortable rooms, peaceful walks on undisturbed nature trails (or a fun ride with Phil on a Polaris Ranger to see the falls), plentiful books and DVD's to suit any taste, and an opportunity to just relax and get away from it all. Ellijay and Blue Ridge are easy drives away and offer a wide variety of dinner options. We loved Charlie's in Ellijay and Harvest on Main in Blue Ridge. Thanks, Phil and Pat, for a relaxing babymoon we will never forget!
