My Husband surprised me with an anniversary getaway in January at Sea Gate Inn in St. Simon's Island. I cannot stop talking about this place. The room was beautiful with marble showers, tile floors, kitchen area, a balcony, just a beautiful well kept property literally 2 minutes from the beach. The staff was wonderful and the facility was outstanding. I cannot wait to return.

I really enjoyed my two nt stay in late May. Huge condo! great balcony, lovely pool and very cordial staff. I left The king and Prince to come here and wish I had not wasted one dime there. That place sucks. The Seagate is just across from the beach with an unobstructed view, close to town also. Seagate has it all. Would return tomorrow if I could.

Room tip: higher floor, better view

Our first time visiting St Simons Island and the Seagate Inn. Did my research online thru TripAdvisor and chose the Seagate Inn because the rooms looked very roomy and comfortable and it did not disappoint. It was a beautifully decorated suite with a kitchen, a dining and living room area, 2 Queen beds, and a very roomy bathroom with separate shower, jetted tub and private toilet, along with 2 sink and vanity areas. There was also a washer/dryer stackable to use which came in very handy. We loved how close to the beach it was, just a short walk from the property and you are on a beautiful stretch of beach. The first level parking area was a plus for us as we were there for 3 days in the high 90's, so it kept the car temp down a little. We all loved our stay at the Seagate Inn and will definitely come back and will recommend to family and friends.

This condo was really smartly decorated and in a great location. We didn't do too much exploration due to bad weather. There were a couple of issues with our room that would be easy fixes. The door jam to our room was completely cracked as though someone forced the door. If you pushed hard enough, the door could have been pushed in easily. We did report it to maintenance, but we're leaving the following day, so not sure it was fixed. The walls could use some touch up paint just to clean it up a bit. The layout of the bathroom area is a bit awkward, but makes sense if you are travelling with family.

The biggest inconvenience turned out to be staff that isn't onsite. We returned to our room on the second night and it seems that our key cards had been deactivated. It was late in the evening, after a long day of traveling around and we had to call and wait about 20 minutes for the gent to come from the sister property. He was very kind, but had to call and get walked thru the process of making new keys for us.

I would stay here again and would recommend it to others. Wish we could have explored the beach. What we saw of the town was pretty.

We were pleasantly surprised with the Seagate. We had a 3rd floor ocean front room. It was quite spacious and well appointed. The place was very quiet and we never heard a peep from the neighbors. It was about a 3 minute walk out to the beach. Seagate is across the street from the beach but there are no building blocking the view and no buildings and the view is pretty good. The beach was nice and wide and not busy at all. Nice quiet place. We'll be back!
