Fun time with friends. We visited the observation area which was a quick hike. I recommend this if you don't have longer than 45 minutes to spare.

I enjoyed jumping from rock formation to rock formation for hours. Ran thru gulleys.
Nice views, Great to watch a sunset or sunrise.
Parking is good and close.
Short hikes available.

This is probably the most scenic spot in Illinois. No need to go to Colorado for scenic views. One note. Keep an eye on the children. There are many, many dangerous overlooks.

I have visited here numerous times. Even at my age, the park is very accessible for hiking and picnicking. The trails are well-maintained and clearly marked as to difficulty.

Super fun place to explor! This is such an adult play ground!
You can climb up and down the rock formations. Just be mindful that there are no fences to keep you from falling off the rock formations to your death, so, please be cautious and use common sense.
