I found this hotel on Tripadvisor and was a bit skeptical as we drove up - seeing that it was far off the beaten path (as far as I could tell - or maybe there just isn't much to Waltham.) We stayed one night, traveling by car from Logan on our way to NH, with a stop for a day visit to Boston. We didn't want to stay downtown (and pay the high prices, especially with a car, which adds $40 for parking downtown.) The Crescent Suites is reasonably priced, quite clean and the staff is super nice. Plus the breakfast (at no add'l charge) is pretty decent. Great place for a family - our room had kitchen facilities which we didn't use. My only complaint was that bed seemed to have a plastic mattress cover, but I still slept fine.

have a kid going to brandeis? have to be in boston but having sticker shock? traveling with a dog? this is such a great find!

as i understand it, the owner, michael, used to be an airtraffic controller, so sunday brunch for 30 is a snap. individual cappichinos, no problem. really impressive. and katie, the front desk, manager, all around fabulous human being is just a pleasure.

rooms are big and clean; beds are lovely; and the windows actually open. a fully functioning kitchen, work table, nice view of the back patio that backs onto the charles river. i mean, you could really hang out here for a while and not feel trapped. oh, and free parking.

the owner plans to open a restaurant near by, and plans to allow guests to order meals a la room service. stay here, you will be happy.

Room tip: dog on the the 1st floor rooms only corner rooms have more windows; room 38 is particularly nice.

Stayed here on business last week, and I was thoroughly impressed. It looks old on the outside, but it's brand new with all of the amenities. Staff was very pleasant and if ever in town again, I'll definitely book with them.

I was researching Boston accommodations when planning a weekend get-away and choked over how expensive staying in the city is. Asked a friend familiar with the Boston area to recommend nearby towns and discovered the reviews for Crescent Suites. We arrived on a Thursday evening after a 4.5 hour drive and at first pulled in the wrong driveway. It's not a big place and doesn't look like a typical hotel. Once inside we were warmly greeted and given a wealth of information about the area and the best way to get to Boston (more on that later). Our room was a small suite with a kitchenette complete with full size fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and range. The bed was in a separate room with a large flatscreen TV. A smaller TV is mounted out near the kitchen area. It was very clean. The price includes breakfast which each morning consisted of some type of eggs, delicious potatoes, sausage, bacon, pastries, waffles, cereals, fruit, juice, coffee and tea. Very filling and tasty. Staying here you also don't have to deal with Boston traffic and parking fees, which are over $30/day. Instead, drive five minutes to the T (subway) station in Riverside, pay $5 to park and $2.50 to ride the T. The T is so easy to navigate a first grader could do it, with convenient stations all over Boston. The trains run about ever 10 minutes from early morning to the wee hours and even on weekdays there is plenty of parking (unless the Red Sox have a home game we were told, which they didn't when we were there). Would definitely stay here again.

I went to Boston (Waltham) on a business trip and found this great homey hotel by chance. I would not even doubt to stay there on my next trip. I am very Radisson oriented... but I have to say they have overachieved an excelent experience.
Also... Capucchinos for free (italian style... not american way) ... really are a good way to greet you!
