Hospitality was outstanding, made to feel like we were home. Group of 6 stayed for three nights, we enjoyed the home like atmosphere, sitting in front of the fireplace, talking and relaxing. Coffee delivered to our room every morning and breakfast that was delicious and well presented.
I would highly recommend the Aurora Staples to anyone that wants a clean, comfortable, inviting and beautiful place to stay. We are already planning to go back for another delightful stay.

My wife and I took a post-Christmas get away for just one night. We received excellent service, in fact, since no other guests were there the night we stayed, we had the chance for a free upgrade and we chose the Carriage House Suite. It was beautiful!

The hosts were kind as well and served an awesome breakfast. We highly recommend Aurora Staples Inn...we just wish we could have stayed longer.

Outstanding visit that far exceeded our expectations! Our family of 9 stayed for three nights over a long weekend in early December. The Inn was beautifully decorated for the Holidays, very warm and inviting. We had our best friends from England and our three adult children plus their significant others, so 9 in total. Cathy and Jerry were wonderful hosts, very helpful and friendly. The rooms were beautifully arranged and sleeping was extremely comfortable. Our kids loved it. We had great family time at breakfast and just relaxing in the drawing rooms. We will easily return during our next visit to the Twin Cities. Two thumbs up!

Room tip: All the rooms have unique and charming personalities.

I brought my wife here for our first anniversary after finding favorable reviews online, and noting that it was fairly close to the action in downtown Stillwater. When we checked in, Cathy greeted us by name, gave us a tour of the home, and offered us wine and small plates of crackers and fruit. The home is gorgeous; high ceilings, warm rooms, and the historical details are preserved. Jerry keeps some good history books in the library, which looks to serve as the gathering room most nights. Our room (the Riverview suite) had the same Victorian charm as the rest of the house, complete with fireplace. Regretted that we didn't check in before dusk to take advantage of reasonably good views of the St. Croix from the enclosed porch. Bed was very comfortable for a queen. You should not miss the breakfast-- Cathy makes a delicious three course meal (including dessert). All in all, it was a very romantic experience and our stay was much too short. Glad we chose this over the Lowell Inn. Will go back.

Room tip: Riverview suite was very nice.

The Inn was the right choice for our getaway.....we did all the usual things....sightseeing, shopping, eating lunch at great places, and went to the spa....but the one thing that was not usual was at the end of the day.....we did not want to go out ....we ordered in and sat and visited by the fireplace! Jerry made sure there was enough wood for the evening. Everything about the Inn is amazing....we are already planning our return. Love the coffee delivered to your room in the morning...felt so pampered and special...whirlpool bath and a great cup of coffee! There isn't enough space to comment on all the things that make the Aurora Staples the best B&B that I have stayed at over the years.
