we stayed at the Sun island for 7 Nights, the staff were Amazing, the Villa was amazing. I wouldnt stay anywhere else when i return to Bali. it is so peaceful due to their only being around 20 Villas. this is a must stay if you are heading to Bali... you will not be dissapointed....

Stayed at Sun Island for 9 nights for my 40th Birthday and loved every minute of it! After staying in a villa I don't think I'll ever stay in a hotel again!
We stayed in a Deluxe pool villa which I would recommend, the villas were very spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool was sparkling clean, not huge but certainly big enough for a refreshing dip. We had read reviews stating that the pools in the villas didn't get much direct sunlight but we didn't encounter this at all. We had the sun over our pool area for most of the day. The bose ipod dock was great for playing music whilst lazing by the pool.
There is also a main pool area next to the restaurant which was great to sit around and enjoy a happy hour cocktail or the complimentary afternoon tea.
The complex is quiet and we rarely encountered another guest, except at breakfast which you could have at the restaurant or delivered to your villa at no extra cost.
The location is fantastic, amongst some great shopping, restaurants and close to the Bintang supermarket. Although the entrance is on the main road of Seminyak, the villas, restaurant and main pool area are set right back off the main road so noise is definately not an issue.
All the staff; reception, restaurant, housekeeping and gardening staff are all very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The restaurant staff arrived at our villa with a b'day cake singing happy b'day to me, which was a big surprise!
I would have no hesitation in recommending Sun Island Villas to anyone and will definately stay again on our next trip to Bali.

We stayed here over Christams to New Year. Our villa was clean, spacious and very cmfortable. This was our second stay here and we were pleased to note the standard has remained high.
Previous reviews mention the pools are cold. We did notice this on our frist stay, but on this occasion i have to say the pool at the villa was a beautiful temperature the whole time.

If you want peace and quiet, but still be within a very short walk from all the action of Seminyak then this place is great.

We did stay for 4 nights just after Xmas. Good location, reasonable price, good facility and helpful staffs!
Beach is nearby about 15 mins walk but water in seminyak is so polluted. If you want to go for swimming, better stay at other area. So many shops near hotel. Hotel is like other villa, so quiet and suitable for couples.
We will surely come back.!
