I gave this hotel three stars out of five, but I could probably be talked into moving that up to four stars, based on the price of the nightly stay. Unlike some of the other reviewers here, I found the room to be clean, although decidedly out of date. However, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and well-maintained, and the other items for personal comfort were also kept well-stocked and available for use. The rooms had few "features" found in higher-class hotels, although it did have a coffee machine, a refrigerator and a microwave oven. For the price (which was VERY reasonable), I thought that the place did very well for itself.
The common facilities (dining room and lounge) were more than I expected, as was the morning complimentary breakfast. They did have the rather annoying habit of running out of coffee, which took about five minutes to refill, However, that wasn't really all that bad, and the staff was EXTREMELY friendly and reacted to my requests immediately. The maids were also very, very friendly, and the level of service in the daily room cleaning exceeded my expectations for this price of hotel.
One thing any potential visitor should know is that this is NOT a handicap-friendly place, and there is no elevator to get you and your luggage to the second floor. Once again, it's only one flight of stairs, but that might present a challenge to a wheel-chair bound customer.
Overall, I found this place to be clean, convenient, and well-worth the nightly rate. It is not a "first-class" establishment, but does not hold itself out to be that level of accommodation. I would gladly stay in this hotel again.
Room Tip: Try to stay on the first floor, as the stairway to the second floor is steep and a bit winding. Stil...
